Chapter 12

It was already 7 p.m., the crowd's cheer could be heard from afar. The boys and Danna were already at the backstage ready to perform for the Night of Music. Danna drinks lots of water and Stephen faces himself in front of the fan. Carl presses his fingers at each other and Stephen taps his hands on his laps.

"Let us welcome our first performers. FRONTNIGHT!!" The speaker says as the crowd cheers loudly.

Danna and the boys forms a group circle.

"This is it guys." Jeffrey says.

"The moment we've been waiting for has finally come." Chester added.

"I just wanted to thank you guys. I could never have reached this far without you."

"No problem Dan." Carl replied as he places his hand in between them. The others followed him.

Stephen says, "On three.. One.. Two.. Three.. Let's go!!"

When they appeared on stage, the huge see of crowds cheered for them. All their names were mentioned and they were surprised when they heard this. They never thought so many people knew them.

Danna grabs the microphone, clears her throat, and gives a little speech, "I would like to thank my friends for bringing me this far. I would never have done this without them." She closes her eyes. "Our song is entitled, Fight For You."

The crowd cheers again as Stephen counts to three with the cymbals. As soon as he reached to three, the song instantly starts. The intro of the song was played. Dm - Bb - F - C. These four chords were played for two measures along with Carl's bass line, Chester's intro lead guitar and Stephens drumming.

It was soft, melodic and a violin and piano background which was prepared by Jeff was added through the speakers. Everybody was surprised, a band known for rock was playing a ballad.

At the end of the second measure of the intro, Danna starts singing.

But I can't seem to find the perfect moment

Why does it have to be this way?

She looks at Jeffrey who was smiling at her from behind. Her voice was very beautiful. It was soft, and warm. It was calm. Everybody remained silent.

Then the chords shifted to Bb - C - Bb - A as the pre-chorus starts.

I think you've already forgotten me

But I will never forget you

You were the reason that I'm fighting

The chords shifted back to the original as the chorus starts. Danna felt the emotions of the song. It was as if she felt what Jeffrey had felt all those years.

But before I go

I want you to know

I'll always love you

Wherever you will go

Then right after the chorus, she whispers through the microphone.

I'll never let go

The outro starts and everyone stood up as they clapped and cheered for the band. They shouted, "Frontnight! Frontnight!" Implying that Danna was already part of the group. Danna looked behind with a shocked face and the band nodded at her as if they were trying to say that it is true.

Danna bows along with the rest and happily says' "Thank you." They walk towards the backstage as tears fall from Danna's eyes.

Stephen screamed in relief and Chester jumped happi;y around.

"We did it!" Stephen shouted as he plays with his drumsticks.

"We sure did." Carl smiles.

They were surprised to see Jeffrey who was comforting Danna who was crying so hard. They immediately gathered around her and comforted her as well. When Danna looked up, she saw their smiles and wipes her tears from her eyes.

"Group hug?" She asks.

"GROUP HUUUG!!"

They immediately went back to the crowd and watch the performances as they smile and waited for the night to end. How they wish it would always be like this. So much laughter, so much fun. But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Jeffrey frowns and holds Dannas hand. Danna looks at him and hugs him tight.

"Oh how I wish this would never end."
