Chapter 11

Noise could be heard everywhere. People where seen smiling and kids playing around. Booths were opening and things with all kinds of colors can be seen from afar. It is indeed the start of the founders week. Danna and Jeffrey could be seen standing right next to the Pearl Sagu booth and were drinking ube and strawberry flavored ones.

"Wanna try mine?" Danna asks as she offers her ube pearl sagu to Jeffrey.

"Yeah sure." Jeffrey grabs the drink and offers his in return. Danna also grabs his drink and together, they both drink the sagu.

"Ube is still the best." Danna says after she pulls her mouth away from the straw.

"No!" Jeffrey argues. "You only like that because of the color." He adds.

"No I don't." Danna replies. Jeffrey looks at him and wipes the little ice cream on her face. Danna blushes and looks away.

Carl is seen walking towards them together with Chester who was holding a bottle of iced coffee.

"Where's Steph?" Jeffrey asks?

"He's already in the band room waiting for us." Car replies. "I guess we'd better start moving our things to the gym now."

"So.. today's the day isn't it?" Said Chester as he takes a deep breath.

"Yeah! I'm super excited now." Danna replies. "We're ready right?" She asks. "Of course we are."

They walk towards the band room and there they saw Stephen who was already placing the drums one by one onto the cart. "So.. aren't you gonna help me?" He asks.

They all laughed and started moving out. They packed their things and hangs it on their shoulders. They placed their amplifiers on the cart and proceeded pushing it towards the gym. When they arrived, they immediately unpacked their things and started plugging it right where it should be.

After preparing their stuff, they sat in front of the fan and wiped the sweat of their faces. It was already 10 a.m., nine hours left until the show starts.

Jeffrey stands up and starts talking, "Well guys, we've already come this far. Why don't we spend the rest of the day together while we do some stuff and chill."

"That would be a great idea." Said Stephen who was very eager to see what things were waiting for him outside.

Danna stood up and leaned beside Jeffrey, "Why don't we go now? I'm sure there would be a lot of cool stuff we could do outside"

"Yes, let's go now." Carl said as he stands and walks towards the gym's door.

Many fun stuff happened in the band, Danna kept on filming the whole day. They played shooters and other fun stuff. They road the four-wheeled bicycle, ate lunch together, watched a movie inside the movie booth, played ring toss. It was already 5 p.m., two hours left until the performance. They were sitted on the fixture under a big molave tree.

"Jeff?" Danna called.

"Yes Danna?"

"Could we walk alone for a while?" She asks.

"Okay." He replies as he waves his hand to the others.

They walked around until they reached a place somewhere in school were there were less people.

"So.. we've been a couple for nine days now right?" She says as she places her index finger on her lower lip.

"Yeah and what about it?

She makes a sad expression and says, "We've only got two weeks before the 1st of March." She holds her hands and looks down. "I still can't believe that we are already a couple."

"What are you trying to say Danna?" Jeffrey asks.

"I want to be with you forever Jeff!" She says. "Why does it have to be this way?"

"I didn't ask for this Dan. I would have wished the same." He replies as he holds Danna's hands firmly.

"I'm happy being with you despite the fact that.."

Jeffrey hugs her and she hugs him back as tears fall from her eyes. "What would I do without you Jeff?" She cries.

"It'll be okay Dan." He assures her. "I'm gonna make the best of these two weeks with you."

Danna cries and hugs Jeffrey tightly. Jeffrey caresses her hair.

"Promise?"

"Promise."
