"Johnson!" My chiefs voice stops me in my tracks. "I need you to scrub in with Doctor Evans, in O.R. two." I nod at his words and head down to the O.R floor.

Three hours later, Doctor Evans and I walk out of the O.R. We both lean on the wall, and take a deep breath, this has to be the most complicated surgery I've ever scrubbed in on. Evans looks down at his shoes, then at mine.

"We need to change." he smiles.

"We do."

After I've changed my shoes, I decide to go for lunch. When I enter the cafeteria, immediately want to run out. Why is he here? I pretend that I don't see him, and head for the food line. As I pick out my salad, I can sense him looking at me. Doesn't he have to go train? Or have somewhere else to be? Since he's in here, I head out and go to the four floor.

--

Once my shift is over, I happily rush to my car. I finally have two days off in a row. And I couldn't be happier. The amount of sleep I'm going to get is crazy. My phone rings, and I reach in purse.

"Hello."

"Harper can you pick something up for dinner?" Laritza asks.

"Sure, what do you want?" I question. When I look up, I see a body standing near my car. What the heck? The closer I get the more nervous I become. Who could it be?

"Pizza sounds good. Make it stuff crust."

"Yeah ok. I have to go." I hang up.

Fuck. He's here again.

"Harper." he smiles at me, and I stand next to the car near mine.

"Tom."

"You look nice." he steps closer to me.

"Thank you. Can I ask why you're here? You're no longer a patient." I cross my arms over my chest, and lean back on the car next to time.

"Well I came to see if yo-"

"Have a good night Harper." A voice interrupts his. I turn, and I see Doctor Evans.

"You too Doctor Evans." I smile at him.

"Call me Chris outside of work" he winks, and I feel my cheeks redden.

"Ok Chris." I say, and he waves me goodbye as he gets into his car.

"A little too friendly amongst coworkers don't you think?" Tom's voice bitter.

"What did you say you were here for?" I completely ignore his comment.

"Nothing. Just wanted to see you." he smirks and walks away.

"Ok." I whisper to myself, and get into my car.

*Two Weeks Later*

Doctor Evans and I are walking to our cars when my name is called. That voice. Fuck, Not again. Chris stops walking and turns first.

"I called Harper." Tom says.

"I'll see you tomorrow Chris." I tell him, and turn to walk back to the hospital.

"What can I do for you?" I ask as I get near him.

"Just stopped by to see you." he smiles.

"Look, I get this is a public property and all but you can't always be waiting out here for me. Also don't you have to train, or something?" My voice is full of annoyance.

"I already did that in the morning." he leans against a pillar. "Do you want to get dinner?" he adds.

"No not really. I have to study for a new surgery I'm going to be scrubbing in on." I say proudly. By the way he looks at me, I guess he's never had a girl turn him down.
