My alarm wakes me, and I groan. Not today. I turn my phone off, and continue to sleep, but I feel someone looking at me. I turn in my bed, and open my eyes. Tom is sitting at the end of the bed looking at me. I cover up my face quickly with my covers.

"What are you doing in here?"

"I heard you screaming in your sleep, so I came rushing in." he pauses, waiting for me to say something. But I don't. "Are you ok? What were you dreaming of?"

"Don't worry about it." I mumble.

"Ok. So what do we do now?"

"Well we can go out for breakfast, if you want." I push the covers away from my body, and get out of bed.

"Wow ok. I'm going to wait outside." Tom says, and looks away from me. I look down at my body, and I only have a tank top and panties on.

"Fuck. Yeah you should get out." I laugh and run to my bathroom.

"Nice underwear!" he shouts as he leave my room.

"Shut up!" I shout back.

After I'm dressed I head downstairs, and see Tom getting orange juice. He smiles as he sees me walk up to him. I grab a glass, and he pours me juice as well.

"How are you feeling?" I ask pointing to his head.

"Good. It doesn't hurt much." he grabs his head. "My arm does though." he adds.

"Let me have another look at it." I take his arm and take the gauze off.

"Does it look better?" he questions as I take a look.

"Yeah but I need to clean the area, and put more ointment." I smile up at him.

Once I've cleaned the burned area, we decide to go out for lunch, since it's late. The drive to the restaurant is full of conversation. He begins to talk about how he started boxing. What motivated him to be a better boxer. And why he moved here, instead of staying in the U.K. All I do is listen.

When I park the car, he quickly rushes over and opens the door for me. I smile at the kind gesture, and thank him.

He's the complete gentleman, I'm surprised to hear that he can't hold a relationship to save his life. He then looks at me, and narrows his eyes.

"Tell me about your love life. I've told you everything there's to know about me. It's only fair if you do the same." He then reaches for his lemonade.

"You mean tell you about the lack of my love life." I laugh.

"What you mean to tell me that you've never been in a relationship?"

"No. I've had my fair share. But they never end well for me." I frown. The memories of the last relationship come to mind. All the pain, physically and mentally he inflicted on me makes me shiver.

"Harper are you ok?"Tom looks at me full of concern.

"Yeah, it's just I remembered something." I look away from him. That's one secret he can't know.

"What do you mean they never end well?" He pushes his luck.

"I'm usually left alone. I guess I can never pick the right guy."

"We're quite the pair aren't we?" He chuckles. "I guess we can say we weren't made for relationships." He adds.

"Speak for yourself.. like I said last night. I love to love. So I won't give up on finding that special someone." I smile.

"So you want a family, a dog, the whole thing?" He questions.

"If there is a possibility, then yes. Don't you?" I take a bite of my BLT.
