The chief walks by locker room, and everyone stops moving. We all slowly turn our head to the door, and he narrows his eyes at us. Once he's out of view we all quickly finish getting dress and make our way to the elevators. Before I can step a foot in it, I'm stopped by Doctor Evans. He pulls me to the side, and I see the elevator slowly close it's doors.

"Harper, I was wondering if you'd like to go out for dinner." he shyly rocks back and forth on his heels.

"Oh. Now?" my voice is beyond shocked.

"It doesn't have to be now. It can be some other day." his cheeks redden as he speaks.

"We can go now. I'll meet you wherever you want." I smile up at him.

"Really? Oh ok. I didn't think you were going to say yes." it seems like I just took off some pressure of his shoulders.

"Why wouldn't I?" I tilt my head to the side.

"Well because I wasn't' sure if you liked me." I nod my head at his words.

"Ah. Well we'll have to see." I laugh. What in the hell.

"Shall we?" he motions to the elevator, and I nod.

I get in my car, and he messages me the address to the restaurant. I begin to pull out of my park spot, and I immediate slam on my breaks. Tom is standing behind my car, looking paralyzed. Oh god. He moves, and I thank the heavens I didn't run him over. I finish getting out of my parking spot, and he leans on my car. As I put my window down, he smiles.

"What is wrong with you?" I question.

"I apologize for that. So when is your day off?" he lowers his head.

"Tomorrow."

"Meet me tomorrow at Kabuki."

"What time?"

"Noon." he smiles and walks away. Why is he go damn weird?

When I arrive at the restaurant, Chris is standing outside and I feel bad. He's probably been waiting out here for a good twenty minutes. He smiles as I walk over to him.

"You know you're probably one of the best dressed interns in that hospital." he says as I approach him.

"Uh. Thank you." my cheeks redden, and I want the earth to swallow me. I've never been good with compliments.

Dinner goes by smoothly, never did we talk about work. He was more interested in what I like to do outside of the hospital, not what my dream surgery would be. He's much more interesting than I thought. He goes on to tell me stories of when he lived in France, and when he finally found the courage to sky dive. Never did I think he was such an adrenaline junkie, well after he skydived.

The clock reads a quarter to eleven, when we finally leave the restaurant. He walks me to my car, and waves me off as I leave the parking lot. My drive to my house is short since the restaurant is close to my place. When I walk in Laritza is asleep, and I don't bother in waking her. I make my way to my room, and quickly fall asleep.

Music wakes me, and I groan as I turn over. What the hell. The one time I get to sleep in in weeks, she decides to blast music. Knowing I'm no longer going to fall asleep I get up, and head for the shower.

Before I know it, I'm in my car heading to meet Tom. When I pull up I see it's a sushi bar, and I mentally cheer. I've been wanting sushi for the longest time. I notice the parking lot is empty. They might still be closed. I sit in my car to see if any other cars show up. One car pulls up, and I just know it's him. He gets out and is looking impeccable. How can he look that good, and still be legal?
