Joe’s vision went totally black. He could not fight it any longer. Pain was a strong persuader. He could feel the gentle caress of the woman’s hands brushing his cheeks. She kissed him softly. “Let go, darling.”

He acquiesced.

The void filled with the colors of the rainbow, spiraling outward from the center like the film of a draining tub played backwards, climaxing with the psychedelic boom of a choir of angels as his world became pure light and music.

Images flashed through his mind, hundreds per second. Logos, products and pictures of unified families, all bundled together. Each and all caught up in the exhilaration of employment in the world’s greatest enterprise, where everyone held a stake. It began as a gentle tugging at his heartstrings and grew to encompass his whole being.

VirCorp, VirCorp above all

Above everything and myself

If only all could join hands,

As we do now, for her protection and defense.

From California to New York,

From Lisbon to Siberia and everywhere between,

VirCorp, VirCorp above all

Above everything in the world!

VirCorp employees, VirCorp fidelity,

VirCorp and its subsidiaries’ product line of refreshing beverages,

VirCorp and its RIAA protected song,

Shall retain in the whole world,

Their immortal high regard,

To inspire us to noble deeds

For the length of our lives.

VirCorp employees, VirCorp fidelity,

VirCorp and its subsidiaries’ product line of refreshing beverages,

VirCorp and its RIAA protected song!

Unity and justice and credit lines

For the VirCorp Family

For this let us all strive

Employee-ly, with heart in hand.

Unity and justice and credit lines

Is the pledge of status.

Blossom VirCorp Family!

He smiled enraptured, teeth reflecting the overwhelming light as he began to sing along heartily in this brave new world of warmth. “VirCorp employees, VirCorp fidelity.” In that moment he was, for the first time in his life, utterly fulfilled. “Employee-ly, with heart in hand, unity and justice and credit lines.”
