They say we're the next generation yet they make it seem like we're an invasion
Of parasite whose only mission is to destroy the world
But yet we seem to be making more difference than these people have sold
This society only wants what's "right" for me
Yet they seem to be thinking quantity over quality
And that's just not fair to me
Because what I want to be
Is not a "successful " career you see I want to be an artist
I want to reach to the farthest
I want dream my hardest
Because I'm a teen...and yes I don't know what that means
But neither do you
You sit there and just pick and choose
Without the consent of your teen
Yes you have given birth to this wonderful creature
But you do not control it
You can not contain it
You can not relate the same rage and anger we feel
But that's okay we've kept our thoughts in a seal
Where only our conscious can deal
With these issues that we make up in our heads
And some of us wish to be dead
And some of us just want to stay in bed because they're scared of what the world might bring tomorrow
And time is just something that we borrow
And we never give it back
And I'm not hear to make you feel better
Us teens are like prey in world filled of predators
