Chapter 21

Thinking of certain things always helps to look a way out of our problems. That is why people say we should always think whenever we take a step or make a decision. So always, 'Think and Act'.

I get out of the cab as I reach the warehouse. I go inside the warehouse and find nobody, looks like no one has arrived. The notice- board has all the clues we have found till now and we need a little more to solve the puzzle. The puzzle I am solving from last eight years.

"Mom, you need to wait a little more. I will find the truth" I say to myself as I look up at the notice board.

I hear footsteps approaching and turn around, to find Lisa, Jack and Edward walking towards me.

"So, what's the new clue?" asks Edward as he sits on the table

"I talked to my Dad" I say

"That's great Merliah!" says Jack as he and Lisa know that I wasn't talking to Dad

"So, I found something from Dad" I say

"What was it?" asks Lisa

"I asked about Finn Hazer and my Dad knew about him being my Mom's boyfriend before they met and the night before my Mom died he was at our house because he was going to Singapore to meet his wife." I say

"So what should we do?" asks Edward

"We need to know that is Finn Hazer still married or he is divorced" I say

"Why?" asks Lisa

"Because Dad said that the reason he was going to Singapore was to solve the problems between him and his wife and moreover we need to know that the excuse he said to Dad was true or not" I say as I don't why I feel like he was lying to Dad

"What else we need to know?" asks Jack

"We need to know who was his wife and where is she now?" I say

"How are we supposed to find that?" asks Lisa

"I have a solution." says Edward

"What?" I ask

"I will call my cop friend and she will help us out." says Edward

"The one who is helping us to track Finn Hazer down." I ask

Edward simply nods in yes and calls her, meanwhile Jack and Lisa turn towards me and start showering me with questions about Dad and where was I all this while, I answer all of their questions one by one.

"She will be here any minute." says Edward as he is done talking

"By the way why is she helping us?" asks Lisa

That's a point why is she helping us. I turn towards Edward and wait for him to reply.

"It's because we had a deal." he says looking here and there

"What kind of deal?" I ask, looking at him suspiciously

"A..A...actually the deal is that if she helps us I have to fix a date for her with my friend's brother as she has a crush on him. You see" he says trying to explain us and we all look at him with disbelief. "I know it kinds of sound stupid but it is the only thing she agreed to." he says trying to explain us.

The deal between Edward and his cop friend his actually stupid, it looks like as if she lacks dating skills. However, I am grateful that I have help from someone.

"Is anyone there?" we hear someone call out. "It's so dark here" we hear it again

"Riley!" Edward calls out and run towards the girl
