Chapter 26

Puzzles are given to us to slove which in turn increases our mental ability and strengths our thinking skills. But what are you suppose to do when a part of your life turns into a puzzle and you are given to solve it and there are people whom you trusted are the ones who stop you from solving the puzzle. What are you supposed to do when things turn out in such a way? 

The same thing is happening to me right now. I am solving a puzzle which was to be solved eight years back. Someone tried to stop it back then and is still doing the same thing this time too. The question is who is trying so hard to stop me from knowing the truth? They even shot me. The pieces of evidence we found from Mrs Roger's house clearly tell something was off about it. Who is trying to help us and who is stopping us? 

The things I have found till now have solved the puzzle to a certain extent but it is still not giving a clear picture. I guess I just have to find one major link which will connect all the other links.

"Merliah, your Dad left," says Lisa as she peeked inside my room

"Fine then let's go," I say as I get up from my bed

"Is it okay to go out?" she asks 

"Yes, is there any problem?" I ask

"No, it's just that what if your Dad catches you and grounds all of us," she says, with a worried expression 

"I don't think that will happen as the doctor said I am supposed to get some fresh air and moreover it's just a walk and we can get discuss somethings," I say

"I hope so everything goes as you say," she says still with the same expression 

Lisa, Jack and I get out of the house. It's so refreshing to get out of the house, for days I was only looking at the hospital walls and then it was the walls of my room that I had to look. Now looking at the sky above me it feels so good. We three turn our way towards the park, everything looks so good and pretty even though it is hot outside it is still a lot better than sitting inside. 

"Ah! it's so hot!" complains Jack

"We haven't even walked for five minutes and you are whining," says Lisa

 "What am I supposed to do when I am feeling hot?" says Jack

"You are such whining person," says Lisa

"Looks who is talking," says Jack in an amused voice

"What do you mean?" says Lisa as she turns to face towards Jack

"Don't even get me started who is the whining baby over here?" says Jack as he looks at Lisa

"Guys, stop that," I say and drag Lisa with me

It's been a long time since they had a fight. Otherwise, there wasn't a day they went without fighting. They didn't get into a fight since the time we have arrived in Melbourne, the mood around us was always very serious but today for the first time I feel things are a bit lively even though there are a lot of things to do.

We reach the park and sit on one of the benches. The park is pretty quiet as they aren't many people around due to the hot weather. Lisa sits in one of the swings and Jack follows her and they start their fight once again. It looks like they have decided to fight about everything today to make up for the time they couldn't fight.

"Hey" someone calls out 

I look up to see it's Edward standing.

"You are early," I say as it's not yet eight

"I prefer to be before time unlike some people," he says and takes a seat near me

"Are you still hanging on that thing?" I say as I remember how I was late when we were supposed to meet each other to discuss Mom's case for the first time
