Chapter 20

(If anyone's wondering, Ethan and Grayson are now 24, Raina will turn 24 in July and Luna will turn 23 in April)

*Luna and Ethan's Valentine's Day*

I woke up this morning, happy and nervous that it's finally Valentine's Day. I prepared something that Ethan did for me too, 4 years ago when he asked me to be his girlfriend.

I've waited for this day for a little over 4 months now and it's finally here. About a month ago, I told Ethan this year was my turn to spoil him and prepare surprises for him, he just doesn't know how special one of the surprises is. He came into the kitchen where I was preparing breakfast for him, being all cheesy making heart shaped pancakes and all different kinds of food that I was able to make heart shaped.

"Good morning daddy" I said teasing him. I knew he didn't like it.

E: "I'm just going to ignore that because it's V-Day" He said in his raspy morning voice and kissed me.

"Hungry?"

E: "Starving. What did you m-. Oh my god, you're so cheesy but I love it. Everything you make tastes amazing though, because you make it with lots of love"

"Aww thank you babe, that's because I only want what's best for you"

E: "I already have what's best for me if I got you by my side princess" He pulled me onto his lap and gave me a soft, innocent kiss.

E: "So, what's your special plan for today?"

"First, you're going to get some presents and after that, there's a special surprise for you"

E: "You didn't have to buy me anything princess"

"Yes I did. You deserve to be a little spoiled babe"

E: "You too, and even though you said it was your turn this year, I got you something special too. It's in our bedroom, go and get it"

"You can go get yours in the living room while I'm gonna get mine upstairs"

I went to our bedroom, not knowing what to expect. My jaw dropped after I opened the door. I didn't expect this, I started crying at the view in front of me, picked it up and went back to the kitchen where Ethan was sitting again.

"When did you get this in here?! I love you so much"

E: "I got it yesterday and it was at Raina's and Gray's apartment over the night, I brought it over while you were busy and concentrated on making breakfast"

"YOU GOT ME A FREAKIN PUPPY I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! AND A HUSKY, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED ONE SINCE I WAS LITTLE"

E: "That's why I wanted to get you one. I knew you always dreamed about having a husky, so here it is"

"Is it a girl? What's her name?"

E: "Her name is Bailey"

"Aw that's beautiful! Thank you so much Ethan, it's the best surprise ever!"

E: "Anything for you princess" Ethan said, giving me another kiss on the cheek.

"After your amazing surprise, I guess it's time for you to get something back. Do you remember the day you asked me to be your girlfriend?"

E: "Of course, it was one of the best days of my life. Why are you asking?"

"What did you do that day for me?"

E: "We went ice-skating, did that snow art thing, had a little scavenger hunt and I got you the bear upstairs"

"I prepared another scavenger hunt. But this time, you have to solve it and search for the clues"

E: "What's the first clue?"

"Where was mine 4 years ago?"

*Ethan's P.O.V.*

L: "Where was mine 4 years ago?"

I hid her first clue under her plate back then so that's where I looked first. There was a small piece of paper under my plate. It said: This place is a mess, but it holds your girlfriend's little black ______. It has to be our closet next to our bedroom. I went upstairs and inside to see where her little black dress was. After finally finding it, I saw another small piece of paper attached to the hanger. This one said: So far you didn't fail, look where we get the ______. Mail? It has to be our mailbox then. I walked downstairs and outside to our mailbox. There was a small piece of paper inside, next to our mail. This piece of paper was purple and it said: You sometimes look like a turtle, your next clue is somewhere purple. Somewhere purple.. Where could that be? Luna loves purple, a lot of stuff in our apartment has that color. The bear! It has a purple bow! And I was right. Inside, I found another note attached to the bear's bow. It was just plain white again and said: Looking for another clue? Look inside your favorite shoe. My custom Vans next to the front door! That one was really easy, I hope there aren't any clues that are really hard to solve. The one from my shoes said: There aren't many more to solve, be ready for the end. Look for me outside the apartment, I'm your best friend. It has to be Gray I guess. Luna is my best friend too, but she made these clues so it has to be him. I went over and knocked on their door, Gray opened.

G: "Hey buddy, here's your next clue"

"Thanks. Do you know anything about the surprise at the end?"

G: "Nope. I have no clue" He said with a wink before starting to laugh. I rolled my eyes at his pun and went back to my apartment where I've read the next clue: The last clue is here, now find your surprise. Go to the bedroom for your final prize. I did what the note said and went upstairs to the bedroom. Inside our bedroom was Luna with a pink box in her hands and Bailey next to her on our bed.

L: "Surprise baby!" She handed me the box.

"Since when do you call me baby?" I chuckled. She's either calling me babe or Ethan because she doesn't like the nickname baby.

L: "No reason" She smiled at me. "Open your box"

I opened the box and there was a smaller box inside with another note on it: Better get used to being called... . I removed the note to see a clear box with pink baby shoes in it, saying I love my daddy.

"What does that- Does this mean we're having a baby??"

L: "Yes, we're having a little baby girl!" OH MY GOD! I'm going to be a dad! I'm speechless, I don't even know what to say. But of course in a good way. I just picked up Luna and spun her around, hugging her tight.

"I'm so happy, I never expected this to happen already but you just made me the happiest man in the world"

L: "Now you know why I called you daddy this morning and baby a few minutes ago"

"I never thought you were giving me hints about having an actual baby and me being a real daddy"

L: "Now you know I was"

"How far along are you?"

L: "Four and a half months. I wanted to tell you after I found out but I wanted to make it special and wait until I know the baby's gender so I decided to do it on Valentine's day. I hope you're not mad because I didn't tell you earlier"

"I would've loved to know earlier but it's fine. It was the best surprise ever"

L: "I love you so much"

"I love you more princess. And little princess" I said while I was on my knees, giving her small baby bump a kiss.
