Chapter 8

Chapter 8 is here! ENJOY :)

Since it was late and this isn't a date, even though I wish it was, we just went to IN-N-OUT to get a burger and some fries. After we had our food, it seemed like both of us didn't want this day to end again.

E: "Do you wanna go to the beach and look at the stars? It's really pretty at night"

"Of course, I love stars and the moon so much"

E: "Alright, let's go then"

About 10 minuets later Ethan and I arrived at the beach. Sitting in the sand, we were just staring at the sky, not saying a word. The only thing that happened so far was that I noticed he came closer. I decided to lie down and Ethan did the same.

"The night is so beautiful"

E: "It is, I've always loved it"

"Me too"

Silence again. But it was a good one, not those stupid awkward ones. I liked being with him, I hope he did too. So far I almost kissed him twice but I wanted to wait for him to make the first move. I mean, there's still a possibility he thinks I'm ugly or he actually doesn't like me at all. I turned my head because I wanted to say something. You always need to be thankful for everything.

"Thank you Ethan"

E: "For?"

Now he turned his head too and our faces were only inches apart again.

"For today. It was so much fun, I really like spending time with you. I hope I get to spend some more time with you soon" It was more of a whisper though.

And then it finally happened. Ethan closed the gap between us and kissed me. I immediately kissed him back until he pulled back.

E: "I'm so sorry, I-I shouldn't have.."

I cut him off by kissing him again. It took him a few seconds to realize what was happening but then he kissed me back again. After a few minutes I pulled back because I needed some air. We stared into each other's eyes, his were just so beautiful.

"That was just-"

E: "Wow."

"It was"

We just laid there, now with his arm wrapped around me with my head resting on his chest until Ethan's phone rang.

E: "Oh it's Grayson. It's probably nothing important"

"Maybe it is, go get it. I'll wait for you right here"

After what felt like 5 seconds he came back.

E: "It wasn't important, he just wanted to know where we were"

"Oh okay. Is Raina still with him?"

E: "No, he just got home and was surprised I wasn't there so he decided to check on me"

"Maybe we should head home soon too, it's almost 1 in the morning"

E: "Even if I don't want to yet, you're right. Just a few more minutes okay?"

"I'd love to stay here for another few hours but Raina's probably worried about me. My phone died a few hours ago so she can't even reach me. She'll survive some more minutes without me though"

We laid back down the way we did before and watched the sky for a bit more. Those few minutes turned into another hour.

E: "Your skin feels cold, we should head back"

"No it's fine. Let's stay"

E: "I wanna stay too but I don't want you to get sick. Let's go"

He was so caring oh my god, I don't wanna leave already. But it's almost 3 in the morning now so we should head back. Since I was driving, I dropped him off at his apartment first before driving home. While we were heading to his place, it was actually quiet until he said something again.

E: "Luna?"

"Yeah?"

E: "Can I take you out on Monday?"

"Like, a date?"

E: "Yes. I wanna take you out on a date"

"I'd love that"

E: "I'll pick you up at 8 on Monday then" He had a happy smile across his face, I think me saying yes made him as happy as him asking me out made me happy.

Ethan and I arrived at his apartment. When he was about to get out of the car, he stopped and turned around.

E: "Can I kiss you one more time?"

I smiled, bit my lip and nodded. His kiss was gentle and his lips were as soft as a cloud. Ethan pulled back after a few seconds.

E: "Good night Luna, see you on Monday"

"Good night Ethan"

I drove home with the biggest smile on my face. I was right, today was the best day ever. I got home around 3.30 in the morning and I don't even care about that. After parking the car I went inside. When I opened the apartment door, Raina ran up to me and hugged me.

R: "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I TRIED TO CALL YOU LIKE, A MILLION TIMES. I THOUGHT SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU! DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!"

"Okay okay. Sorry my phone died, I'm fine though. I was just spending time with Ethan"

R: "What?! OH MY GOD! WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO UNTIL ALMOST 4AM? IS HE YOUR BOYFRIEND ALREADY OR WHAT WAS GOING ON?"

"Calm down, I'll tell you everything but first, tell me what you and Gray did so long"

R: "Oh lord, where do I start. Okay, so you know we went for a walk and to the beach after. We sat down on the beach and talked for while. Suddenly he told me he really liked me and wanted to try it and be with me but I told him I was scared because.. well, you know what happened with my ex. Anyways, I started crying because I want to be with him so bad but I need to really trust him first. Gray then cupped my face with both of his hands, wiped away my tears with his thumbs and leaned his forehead on mine. He started saying things like we could take things slow and I was too beautiful to cry and ugh he was being so sweet. I felt so much better, he made me feel safe and loved. Gray then gently kissed me and told me everything would be alright. After our time at the beach we went to see a movie and had dinner together. He was so sweet the whole night, took my hand in his whenever he had the chance to and we just had a great time together. I can't wait to see him again on Monday, he wanted to take me on another date. We just drove around for a some more time after that and then he dropped me off at our apartment. That was my night"

Her eyes lit up while she was talking, I can tell she really likes him a lot, maybe even fell for him already.

"Guess who else is going on a date on Monday" I said and winked.

R: "NO WAY OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING, WE NEED TO CELEBRATE"

"We'll do that tomorrow okay?"

And with that I told her the story of the best night I ever had...
