Throwback to the last part: You had an encounter with Luke in school. He didn't want to talk to you and seemed numb. Y/FN told you that Fredo will be gone for some days. Almost at the end of the school day you caught Luke making out wih Cassie.

»Hey, babe«, his soft voice greets me through the speaker.
I blush hard as he uses the nickname for me. Quickly I look around the school yard making sure nobody saw my face flushing ridiculously red.
»Hey, Jus«, I reply and start my way home,»Am I interrupting you?«
»Never«, he says cutely,»How was school?«
When he mentions the building I was just in I cringe. The previous events weren't that lovely. I know that it shouldn't effect me that much but watching how fast Luke moved on from me makes me wonder what would've happened if I chosen him over Justin. Not because I still love him but because now after I dumbed him he doesn't seem to care about me at all. If we would've been in a relationship instead it would've only been a matter of time till he breaks up with me. That thought makes me upset.
»It could've been better«
»Why? What happened? Are you okay?«, Justin asks concerned.
»I'm fine, Jus«, I respond and stop for a moment.
I'm not sure if I should tell him about what happened today. It's nothing bad and I didn't really get hurt so it's unnecessary, right?
»I saw Luke«, I tell him.
After a minute I look at my phone thinking it maybe ran out of battery since Justin doesn't reply but it's charged. This is not good.
»Uhm...okay«, he finally answers,»Did he say anything to you?«
»No«, I say and take in a deep breath,»He didn't talk to me but I caught him making out with one of his friends.«
»Damn, it's only been a day since you dumbed him and he already got a new chick. He must've been really in love with you«, he sates sarcastically and laughs but I don't join his laughter.
I look at the ground and start to count the leaves. A cold breeze hits my face and I sigh audibly. To be honest I kind of feel embarrassed. I know Justin only wants to make me smile but to hear him say that Luke never really loved me is sad.
»Yeah«, I say as Justin stops laughing.
»What's wrong? I didn't mean it like that, babe«
»I know but...«, I start to explain but fail.
Luke is the past for me. If he doesn't care about me I won't care about him. I don't have feelings for him anymore so I should just ignore him and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
»But what?«, Justin wonders.
»Nothing«, I reassure him,»I'm just glad I have you and that from tonight we can finally be a couple also in public.«
»Me too«, he whispers seductively causing me to giggle,»After the interview I'll take you out on a date and this time no one will interrupt us.«
I feel my cheeks heat up and my heart beating faster. As I want to answer Justin a big van stops next to me on the street. I see someone opening the door and looking in my direction. When the man which opened the door begins to wave his hand at me giving me a sign that I should come closer I frown. Suddenly fear takes over me. My hands are shaking and my breathing is quicker than usual. When I don't see anyone else on the pavement I start to panic.
»Y/N?«, I hear Justin's voice in my ear but I don't respond.
I'm too scared. The man climbs out of the van. I begin to sweat and I listen to my heart race. But when I catch sight of Scooter Braun sitting in the black car I lay my hand on my chest and sigh relieved.
»Justin? I have to hang up. We'll see us later«
»Alright, till later. Love you«, he replies making me smile bright.
»Love you too«, are my last words before hanging up the call.
I walk up to the van and play around with my phone nervously. Scooter stands up and I examine his figure. He's wearing a simple shirt in grey with some light blue jeans and black sneakers.
»Hello, Y/N it's nice to see you«, his deep voice greets me.
We shake hands and I look up to his red snapback.
»What gives me the pleasure?«, I ask chuckling shortly.
»Please take a seat«, he says and points his index to the vehicle.
I think about it for a moment since I'm already late for lunch but after sometime I get in the car. The man who opened the door earlier closes it now. I sit in front of Scooter and wait for him to speak up.
»I need to ask you for a little favor«
»Me?«, I wonder surprised.
»Yes, I want you to say some good words about Selena on your interview this evening«, he explains making me furrow my eyebrows.
Irritated I try to understand his sentence but I don't succeed.
»Why should I do that?«
»Because I'm Selena's manager and I don't want her to be the bad girl who ruined her relationship with Justin«
»But she kind of did. She lied to him«, I state confidently.
Is he serious? I mean I understand that he doesn't want his singers to be in a bad public position but Justin was there before. He always had to take the hate. Now it's Selena's turn.
»I know, Y/N but think about it«, he starts to explain,»Do you really want her as your enemy? Don't you want her to be gone?«
»She's not my enemy«
»But she will be when Justin tells everyone the truth«, he replies.
Thousands of different thoughts run in my head. Scooter may be right. If I just don't make Selena look bad she will not hate on me or bother me.
»What do I get for it?«
»You won't get anything but you'll have less trouble in the world of fame«, he responds and I already feel myself getting a headache.
»Okay, I'll do it«
