They were still struggling and fighting right there on the floor, when we heard a horn blasting through the gate.

Aunt Agnes' husband was home!
*********

The blast took everyone by surprise and like in the movies, we stood still, waiting and hoping we'd misheard.

Our strange fighter apparently didn't understand what was going on, as she in an instant grabbed aunt Oby's neck and shoved her very hard to the floor. Aunt Oby's head hit the rough floor making her groan loudly in pain. She instinctively climbed on my aunt, punching her nose with her fist. Fresh blood oozed out freely from her nostrils, down to her lips and neck. Aunt Oby was enraged and with the vile of a lion, twisted her arms and pushed her down in a flash.

Our strange visitor never saw the moves coming and therefore landed with a mild thud. She squeezed her brows in pains and tried standing up immediately but aunt Oby was faster. She staggered up from the floor and jumped on her in retaliation. Aunt Oby sat on her stomach, her right hand raised for a punch but a blast from the car outside came on, and this time thrice in a loud roll. The angry blast stopped her mid air, forcing her to ease off from her victim. She quickly stood up from her, her eyes glancing around for the torn pieces of her clothes.

The blood was still trickling down freely from her nostrils, splattering on her bra and body. Unable to hold it back, some splattered on the floor and on her fallen victim.

Aunt Oby clasped her left palms on her nose stopping the gushing blood from splattering all over the floor. She calmly removed her palms again but her eyes widened in surprise when she saw the enormous red substance covering almost her entire palms. She looked down at her wrestler and painfully restricted herself from launching another attack.

The strange lady was still sprawled on the floor and a wriggling look on her face showed her waist was hurt from the push. She was struggling to stand and each move she made, made her squeak incredibly in pain.
Aunt Oby shot her another devilish look and with her thumb and middle finger, made a click at her.

Still clasping her right hand on her nose, aunt Oby bent and grabbed the torn pieces of her clothes. She raced off into the house with her boyfriend trotting behind. He picked up few tiny pieces that fell off from her hands while she ran.

Uncle Ugonna hurriedly walked over to his friend who had now staggered up. She was scrutinizing her elbows, laps and examining her injuries. He calmly placed his right hand on her shoulders while using the left to clean off imaginary dusts from her knees. He whispered something into her ears and I could see her eyes widen in surprise. She turned to look at him and he nodded quietly. She shrugged and then hurriedly grabbed her torn clothes from the floor.

The blast came on again and within seconds we could hear an angry bang on the gate. He sure had alighted from his car and was banging furiously now.

Uncle Ugonna and his friend disappeared into the house within seconds. I turned around to see Mama standing very close to the iron protector. My eyes searched her distant face wearily with no luck. I waited patiently for a signal from her, or a command to unlock the gate.

With her left hand, she beckoned on me to come closer. I hurriedly walked over to her and was surprised to see aunt Agnes standing beside her and shaking in fear.

"Once your uncle drives in, you'll have to make suggestive comments about your aunt getting involved in an accident. Do you understand?" Mama asked shabbily. I nodded quietly. It was a big task and I was lost on how best to handle it.

What was I going to say?

Mama nodded at me to go on and unlock the gate. I turned to leave but she whistled at me, a signal for me to come closer again.
