I tried to step away but his grip was too firm. His cold hand was still sliding up my blouse, to my chest.

"Let me go please" I said pleadingly.

"I thought you said you liked me too?" He asked in an unusual tone.

I held his hands and tried pushing him away but his strong arms were much stronger, and never gave way.

"My aunts will see us, and they won't be happy" I said, very much afraid.

"You don't have to worry" His voice was cold. "The closer we get, the easier for me to decode those evil vibes. I can then know...

"I want to go, and now!" I said firmly and confidently.

At that moment, it felt as though I was screaming. I could feel his grip weaken and I knew right then my message was clearly understood. I forcefully pushed his hands away, making them fall from my hips, and then turned to leave.

The chains made a quick clattering sound and within seconds, the gate flew open, revealing aunt Oby who stepped out with a very bright torchlight.

My heart sank!

"We were worried about you both. I told Mama that maybe your evil spirits have led you both to a den" She joked shining the bright light on my face. "You know there's nothing strange and new when it comes to you!"

I blinked and squinted my eyes to avoid the rays.

"Where is brother Magnus?" She asked almost immediately.

I'd thought he was right behind me, so I turned sharply but saw no one. I was afraid.

Then we heard a mild voice speaking in a strange language.

"Oh!" My aunt gasped. "I'm sure he must have felt or seen something. Run inside and get me a head tie, tonight is battle night" She said stepping away from the entrance. "He's a strong Man of God, Mama made the right choice!"

I walked into the compound and made my way to the common room.

"Tell Mama too! Tell her to come join us! And make sure you come out here, I'm sure it's the bad familiar spirits in you that he'd seen" She shouted after me.

I delivered the message and within minutes, Mama and Aunt Agnes were out to join them. I quietly went inside Mama's room with my heart racing through my latest ordeal. If I'd wasted another second, aunt Oby would have..... Oh my goodness!

Aunt Agnes' husband had journeyed to Lagos to get his ticket ready. He'd overstayed and was in a hurry to leave. Now I understand why Mama organized the prayers so quick.

Maybe for an eleventh hour miracle?

Our prayer night ended on a weird note, for me. Brother Magnus had told Mama that I needed a fire deliverance session which must be done in his ministry. He therefore suggested I was brought down to the locality where he was stationed.

I wasn't surprised however when Mama agreed. Aunt Agnes and her sister laughed and applauded such decision since they already believed I was possessed.

Uncle Ugonna participated in the prayer session, though he kept breaking out into his room. It was later the next morning that we realised why.

Mama had walked up to his room early the next morning to notify him of a brief meeting they'd scheduled. Uncle Ugonna wasn't responding to her knocks which infuriated Mama . She suspected foul play and didn't relent therefore.

When uncle Ugonna couldn't take the heat anymore, he opened up and Mama was quick to push her way in.

And in there, was her answer.
