I WANT TO APOLOGISE!!!!
I sincerely apologise for not updating as promised. It was really beyond my control, as it's been a very hectic week for me.

Okay! Now I'm back to base and will surely make it up...

Hope I'm forgiven??

Let's go!!!!!

I curled up on my mat as I listened further. I could hear her angry steps as they made their way to the common room. A milder step was following hers and I knew it was her husband.

"Nneogo!" My aunt screamed.

I was mute and instantly pretended to be asleep. If I was going to face her, I needed to be calm first.

"Nneogo!" Came the scream again, followed by a huge bang on the door.

I jumped to the door, pulling it open. She stood there angry, with imaginary fumes escaping her bloody eyes.

"Yes aunty" I answered calmly, unintentionally giving away a guilty look.

Her husband was right behind her and I knew that was why she held back, why she hasn't pounce on me. His eyes were on me and I was certain he was trying to interpret my expression.

"Why did you enter my room?" She asked, as confident as ever.

My heart sank heavily into my stomach, making it churn in a discomforting pain. A huge lump formed in my throat and I felt like vomiting instantly. I looked down and began drawing oddly, with my big toe on the floor.

I realised I was being silly and stopped.

"Answer me!" She said, partly screaming and partly calm.

I slowly lifted my face to hers as my mind pondered on how to form my words. How would I present my defence?

I parted my lips to speak but her husband's words interrupted me.

"Baby, be calm" He said lovingly to my aunt. "We're not even sure she entered our room!"

Yup! That's it!

I felt relieved. I felt calm and happy. For a long minute, I silently thanked her husband for saving me from a huge mistake.

I had wanted to confess that I'd entered their room, if only the husband had waited for another second. He's a great timer!

My aunt cast her husband an angry look and I understood why. She intentionally phrased her question that way for me to fall into her trap, to confess if I'd done what she asked earlier.

My aunt was stupidly wise!

"Aunty, I didn't step into your room!" I replied quietly.

Her countenance didn't change neither did her gaze. She left her gaze on me and I knew she didn't believe me. She was certain I'd done it and knew I'd lied because of the hint her husband had unintentionally dropped.

"Let's go" Her husband said grabbing her left hand. She shook her head in refusal and kept moping at me.

I felt so uncomfortable and therefore dropped my face to the floor, letting my eyes search at every corner for whatsoever extinct.

"I don't think she did it baby" Her husband reiterated. "And tell me, what would she be doing with such money?" He asked in exasperation.

My aunt turned to him, staring at him for some moments which made him glaringly uncomfortable.

"What?" He asked trying to regain his composure. "Okay, tell me Agnes, What would she be doing with five hundred dollars?" He asked.

I forcefully lifted my eyes to him and let it slide to my aunt.
