Stevie worried about Lindsey going back to work. She was afraid to be alone with her son knowing Josephine was still lurking around. She was also paranoid as for the next week, absolutely nothing happened. She knew the malicious spirit was gearing up for something big. As the woke up the morning marking one week until Lindsey went back to work, she felt an uneasiness growing in her stomach. She was so nervous that it was making her nauseous. She carefully sat up in bed as not to upset her stomach any further, getting up with the intention of making breakfast while her young baby slept. Lindsey was in the shower and she smiled, watching his slender but strong form through the frosted glass of the shower stall.

"Bacon and eggs?" Stevie asked, poking her head into the bathroom.

"Sounds good, mama. You spoil me."

"Anything for my men." Stevie said and Lindsey smiled, going back to washing. Stevie hurried down the stairs and started looking for her pans to start breakfast.

Whistling as she worked she managed to cook the breakfast without burning anything, she usually ended up burning the bacon but today it was perfect, a mix between crispy and delicious

Lindsey walked into the kitchen a few minuets later fresh from the shower, his feet bare as he padded over to the side, stealing a mushroom that Stevie had just cut up to fry

"Hey!" She slapped his hand away gently "You eat it all now you won't have any left for breakfast!" He held his hands up in defence

"Gosh, someone's moody this morning..." he mumbled

"What was that?"

"I said, someone's goofy this morning." He smiled sweetly and she narrowed her eyes at him, before turning back and plating his food, placing it in front of him

"You not eating?" He asked with a mouthful of egg

"No, I don't feel to well today, my stomach's a little upset." She rubbed it to sooth the pain

"Have you talked to the doctor about that? I mean, Noah's birth wasn't exactly normal."

"I was normal, it just wasn't in the hospital. I'm sure it's just nerves."

"Nerves?"

"You know..." Stevie motioned to the room around them in a wide overhead sweeping gesture and Lindsey chuckled.

"Well, I'm sure she's not going to bother us again. Maybe she got bored."

"I doubt that. What else is she going to do but torture us? It's not like spirits have full schedules or anything."

"That's true but what's the point in worrying?"

"Our son. I worry about him all the time."

"I do too, baby but he's fine, he's safe." He pat her hand and kissed her temple.

"I'm going to go check on him" Stevie said and knowing he could do nothing to stop her, he let her go up while he finished breakfast.

Walking into his room she found him fast asleep, with Vanessa standing over his crib, and running her hand over his forehead, Stevie watched from the doorway

"You're such a precious boy, I wish I could hold you...but my little one and you are going to be such good friends, I think I'm having a girl, I hope she gets here okay..." Vanessa spoke to Noah softly

"He knows who his Aunt Vanessa is..." Stevie said smiling as she came through the door

"Aunt?" Vanessa said with tears in her eyes

"Mhmm, well you helped with the pregnancy and I couldn't have gotten through the birth without you, so I think you've earned the title."

"Thank you so much! Oh my god, Auntie Vanessa, that makes me so happy!" She gushed, Noah waking up and looking straight at her

"See, I told you! And he's also going to be able to see your sweet precious baby!"

"I really hope so! She's going to need a little friend to play with!" Vanessa and Stevie were incredibly happy in the moment they were sharing together

Vanessa eyed her, giving her smile and Stevie smiled back.

"I wonder when the baby will come" Stevie said. "It seems like you're growing every time you appear to me"

"It does" Vanessa said proudly, smoothing her very prominent belly. "Fletcher thinks it will be soon. I'm very excited. I hope I'm half as strong as you were"

"I owe it all to you. You're going to do excellent"

Stevie tried to pat her hand but quickly took her hand away, realizing she couldn't. It was strange to think that her best friend wasn't even actually alive.

"Thank you, Stephanie." Vanessa said.

"I originally came up to check on Noah but I know he's in good hands."

"If you'd like, you can put him in his baby swing and I can push it. I can't pick him up but I can manipulate objects."

"That's a wonderful idea. I should put you on the payroll!" Stevie laughed and Vanessa smiled brightly as Stevie lifted the baby into the little swing.

"I would love to have one of these for my little one. You're so such a good mother, I really admire you."

"Like I said before, you will be amazing during the birth and you will be a fabulous mother." Stevie didn't know how all of this would work but she rooted for her friend, so happy she was getting the child she so desired.

"I'm going to have to get through it with just Fletcher." Vanessa said suddenly

"I'll be there too."

"I know, but you won't be able to hold my hand or anything..." she said sadly

"You couldn't hold mine either but you got me through it!" Vanessa nodded and smiled a little

"Who's a good boy then?" Vanessa manipulated the swing so it would move, Noah slowly being rocked, he soon fell back asleep, snoring as the swing rocked him

"Ness, I'm worried about Josephine." Stevie admitted

"I know, so am I..."

"Everytime she goes quiet for a little while when she comes back, she does something terrible."

"Fletcher and I have promised each other that we will protect your family."

"Don't jeopardise your family for us, Ness."

"We wouldn't be, you're our family too!" She mustered up a lot of energy and managed to touch Stevie's hand and it be felt like a human touch not that of a spirit.

"Don't tire yourself, you need your strength but thank you. I'm so happy you're here."

"I'm happy to be here too." Vanessa and Stevie spoke a few more moments before Vanessa disappeared, allowing Noah to sleep. Stevie went back downstairs to Lindsey who was now lounging on the couch, watching tv.

"Hey" Stevie said.

"Hey babe, thought you got lost"

"No, definitely not" Stevie said.

"Something the matter?"

"No, I'm just thinking"

"About making love to me?" he asked, waggling his eyebrows and Stevie laughed. "You know your post partum appointment is coming up and they will give us the all clear to be intimate"

"That hasn't stopped us, Linds. Don't act so deprived."

"I am deprived! I haven't had you in hours!"

Stevie giggled. "We might have a little time" She slinked over to him and sat on the couch. Her body was slimming down and her breasts were full...Lindsey was instantly taken in byher body and her beauty. Her hair was growing out again and Stevie seemed confident. He loved this side of her.
