Lindsey picked her in his arms, panicking as he ran inside with her, taking her into the living room and placing her on the couch, he ran into the kitchen to grab her some water and soak a cloth
In the living room Stevie suddenly was no longer alone, Vanessa sweeping through and kneeling beside her
"Oh my god, Stevie I am so sorry!" She cried "I'll fix this!" Placing a hand on Stevie's head and one on her stomach she fixed all her positive energy into helping Stevie, once she knew Stevie was awake she quickly vanished, Lindsey rushing in seconds later
"Stevie, you're awake, are you okay? How do you feel?" He fussed over her and she slapped his hands away
"I'm fine...what happened?"
"You collapsed in the yard...we should check on the baby."
"We should go look for that mirror."
"Can we stop?! Jesus Christ, I'm tired of talking about this damn thing! It's old, it's creepy and I'm glad it's gone. Good riddance!" He shouted.
She stood up quickly, pressing toward him in anger. "It's not just about you. It's about our son!"
"If it was about our son, you would take your hormonal ass back to the doctor but instead you are standing here getting all pissy about some old ass antique that some little girl ran into!"
"What?" she asked, a sly smile growing on her face. "What little girl, Lindsey?"
"Little girl? I never said little girl" Lindsey said trying to back track quickly
"Yes you did, you said 'some little girl'!"
"No, you're mistaken, I never said that, you must be hearing things!" Stevie rolled her eyes
"You are so full of shit I can smell you from here!" She said crossing her arms
"This whole thing is stupid..."
"What, because you've just dropped yourself in it that you've seen one of our ghosts?" She laughed, Lindsey turning red
"I don't want to talk about this anymore! I'm sick and tired of fighting with my beautiful, pregnant wife about something that doesn't exist!"
"You know they exist, you're just scared and I get it Lindsey but you have to realize it won't go away unless you help."
"I'm done, Steph."
"Fine" she said, tears evident in her voice even though he couldn't see them. She had turned away from him and he touched her shoulder. "I'm going to our room."
"Stephanie, baby..."
"No, Lindsey. You said you're done and so am I."
Lindsey slumped down on the couch with his head in his hands. Stevie went up to her room as she said, but something caught her eye.
Looking into the corner of her room she saw another woman, one she hadn't seen before, at least not in real life, the woman was wearing a dark dress, and her hair was matronly, no where near as pretty as Vanessa's...Vanessa, this woman had a resemblance to her
"Shit..." Stevie raced out the room onto the landing like a bat out of hell
"Vanessa! Vanessa I need you!" Stevie spoke, within seconds Vanessa was in front of her
"Stevie what's wrong?" She asked panicked
"She's back!"
"She's back? Who's back?"
"Josephine! I've just seen Josephine..."
"You couldn't have, that's impossible...isn't it?" Vanessa asked with the innocence of a child.
