Day 22 —You wake up with a key gripped tightly in your hand.  How did you get this key?  What does it lock or unlock?

-

At first, I was going to write a story. I even had the start of one written, but I realized today that I could make this a better work of nonfiction! I could write truth and my thoughts even better than I could write a story! This challenge has given me that, I am better at writing nonfiction. (Only 7 days left, since this is a day late, sorry about that by the way!)

Every day, we wake up with a key in our hands; a metaphorical key anyways. We wake up each day with the key to our happiness in our hands. We can choose to be happy, we can choose to do whatever needs to be done to make ourselves happy.

We sit in classrooms, and maybe even cubicles and we complain about how we are unhappy. That is one of my pet peeves: Complaining about things we can change. We all do it, on one instance I remember a girl in my class complaining about her shoe falling off. Do you know why it fell off? Because her laces were not tied.

If you are unhappy, take the steps to tie your laces.

Every day we wake up with a key in our hand. We get this key because we are alive, and since we are alive we have the choice to be happy; to use the key. This key has the potential to lock your happiness away or open a door to a better life. My advice is to use that key to make yourself happy. There is only so much living we can do.
