November in Virginia

Okay..so I decided to put this in a format similar to last time. Except...by the week. I paused the Hammies' part with 25 days until they go up to New York with Seabury. So, since 1 less than 25 is 24, and 24 is divisible by 7, there will be 4 parts. 4 weeks. But only 3 will be written in Virginia. Rachel is still in Chariot's Hospital, so I'll dedicate a week to her too. But this is the most important moment during the week, though. Now, I have a 100-word-intro-limit for myself, so before I go over, enjoy! :'D

Week #1

A. Hamilton's POV

It had been two days since Pip and Seabury had returned. They had come the day before and we had an absolute blast. Seabury brought textbooks because I wanted to study, but after sending Mom the video, we were too riled up to study. Pip had fallen asleep here in my arms and had stayed with me all day. Seabury came to visit and had been smiling brightly all day. He refused to tell us why, but Pip was too excited about New York to care. He eventually left, giddily reading something on his phone. Sometime after nine, the two of us were still up, and Pip was retelling the details of Mom's hospital for the thousandth time. Not like I cared. I wished I had gone so badly. But what cheered me up was that I was going to live there soon.

(Pretend they're talking to each other in Spanish.)

"Hey, Pip," I called, cutting off his story. "Don't you find it weird we're moving from Yorktown to New York City?" I stifled a laugh as he glared at me from the foot of the bed. (I just thought of that while writing.) He just continued a story he called The Rude Nurse and Her Hot Coffee.

"So then she's like, 'Are you dating him!?'" He always made this snobby voice whenever the nurse spoke. "'That's disgusting!' And I'm sitting like, 'Whoa. Hold up, that's my—' And this girl with a death wish, cuts me off. Freaking cuts me off! She then starts up again, 'If you don't leave, I'll take my coffee and leave myself!' Well, it was her mistake mentioning the coffee. I saw steam and smiled. Like, Imma bout to take this bitch down! So I grab it out her hands and she gives me this face. And I stand on my tip-toes, cause she man tall, and I slowly pour—"

Ring-ring-ring

Right when he was getting to my favorite part too. Pip made a pouty face and answered. I was personally confused, because I knew Seabury was asleep, and Mom was too weak to call at this hour.

"Hello?" He asks. After a few murmurs from the other line, his face lit up. "Martha!" He took the phone off his ear and turned to me. "It's Martha, nuestra madre adoptiva." Pip placed the phone in between us on the bed and put it on speaker. "Martha! I have Alex here so I put it in speaker. ¿Está eso bien?" (Our foster mother/Is that alright?)

"Of course!" a gentle voice replied from the other line. "I actually wanted to know if you two were available tonight? There's a Martha Laurens—dear friend of Laf's and a sweet girl—and today's her birthday. Would you two mind if I FaceTimed you for her?" (Guys, this'll might get confusing...you've been warned.)

"I wouldn't!" Pip chirped. "Alex?" I shook my head no. "It's settled, then. Introducenos, Martha!" After a chuckle from Martha, the line cut. Pip and I sat in silence as we waited for her to call back. Sure enough, he soon got a FaceTime call from Martha and responded. He moved over next to me and held up the phone. The first thing we saw were dozens of hands fighting for the phone and screaming and yelling.

When it died down, a tan girl just a little darker than Pip showed up. She had freckles all over and bouncy, light brown hair tied back in two pigtails. She reminded me of the cute John kid in the picture Pip had taken.
