So you guys know that science teacher I've been trying to impress for no didly darn reason? Guess what? SHE'S MAH HOMEROOM. Y'all probably don't care about my terrible luck, so let's get right on with it.

Setting: Corny, Cathy, and Ellie all went to this girl's slumper party. There, they started playing Truth or Dare. Now, Corny's upset as the three walk over to the Schuylers' a couple streets away. What happened to our dear Corn Cob? Will everyone be okay? Or will there be bloodshed of a ten-year-old tonight?

I'm sorry about the television game show intro, I didn't know how else to do it. And sorry for the girls' possible repetitiveness. I'm trying to make them sound like little kids.

And

I manged to do no cursing since they're seven and nine :)

M. E. Laurens' POV

"Guys, it's okay," Corny cooed. "I'm fine—"

"It's not okay!" I interrupted. I was stomping in front of Corny and Cathy in an elephant sweater, sweatpants, and uggs. Cathy had been behind me and next to her twin. She was trying to convince Corny that what Abigail did wasn't right.

"Exactly!" Cathy agreed. She pulled on my arm when I had started drifting towards their beach house. "Abigail can't just do that to my lovable twin!"

"Calm down," Corny pleaded. "I'll be fi—"

"No you won't!" I interrupted again and forced my way to the front. Corny pulled on my arm to slow me down.

"Ellie—"

"I'm telling Angie!" Cathy called. No way Angelica would just let this slide. No. Way.

"And I'm telling Martha!" (Laurens, btw :P) I yelled as I started up the Schuylers' porch steps.

"No!" Corny begged. "Neither of them have any self-control when it comes to their tempers!" (That's the point.)

I whipped her head around and my flat pigtails went flying. "And?" I slowly asked before running to the doorbell.

"They'll crush Abigail!" Corny complained as Cathy pulled her up the stairs. (There will be blood tonight!)

"She crushed you first!" Cathy pointed out. I had attempted to ring their doorbell, but ended up being too short so Cathy rang it for me.

"But—"

"She deserves it!" I slyly smiled right before the doors were opened. Mr. Schuyler stood in the doorway in a robe with a blank expression. His eyes drifted down at us before practically popping out of his head.

"Girls!?" he sputtered. Corny waved sheepishly in response. "What are doing out alone!? I thought you were at Abigail's slumber party!" Cathy first went in for a greeting hug before pulling back.

"Daddy," she looked up at him. "Corny needs to tell you something." He absentmindedly nodded. I just assumed he was still questioning everything and thought nothing of it. After about a minute, he stood to the side of the doorway.

"The three of you come inside," he ushered us inside. As I walked in, I heard him mutter, "And I'd better get a good explanation." Corny tensed up and leaned on the wall. Cathy gave me a worried glance, which I responded to with a nod.

"Thanks, Mr. Schuyler," I smiled at him as he closed the door.

"No problem, Mary Eleanor," he smiled back. "You're always welcome here." Corny seemed to relax a little while Mr. Schuyler led us towards the kitchen. He took a seat at a tall stool and pointed towards our landline. "And should I call Martha or John to come get you?" Corny's eyes widened as she rushed to grab the phone.
