So, this'll be long. I'm writing about the whole night—from where I left off to after they leave. Not everyone gets a POV, but I tried to get enough to get an idea of what's going on and how they all settled down for the night.
Yes the last chapter does count for this story. And yes, I plan on pushing it to the side for a while and bring it back to the spotlight when needed. I have a plan for it. Just you wait~!
Now I realize this is typical, but, a vote is extremely appreciated. So...please? Feedback is definitely wanted, this is my first fanfic. I just want writing and reading veterans to give me tips on how to improve.
Also, some of my intro and outro trends are getting boring, huh? Consistency doesn't seem to be working. I'll spice it up later. :')
A.Hamilton's POV
We probably looked awful.
The five of us just sitting there crying in each others' arms. Sure, it definitely was comforting and it felt so amazing to finally see them all again after all these years. As we slowly pulled back from each other, I took a good look at the three. It had been, what, five years? Time flies.
Angelica looked away wiping her tear stained cheeks. I could see her faint smile through her curly dark brown hair.
Margarita looked at me, her eyes still begging to cry. She glanced back and forth between Pip and I while letting out breathy laughs.
Theodosia buried herself into Phillip's side, the rest of her face covered by her wavy brown hair. I could hear her still sobbing with joy while Pip stroked her hair.
And Elizabeth...
Elizabeth wasn't there. Could I blame her though? Her boyfriend's parents probably had something planned for Thanksgiving too. She probably decided to go to that instead of meeting me here. I decided to imitate her and put "us" in the back of my mind and focus on who was there for me.
I sighed and stood up. Pip, Angie, and Teddy followed suit, while Peggy just sat there.
"Peggy?" I questioned. She looked up at me with a lopsided smile and glossy eyes.
"Do you know how long I've wanted to know why you were taken from me?" she started. "Why Angie and I had to hide our suffering? Why I had to face the world without you? And how it was humanely possible for you to just show up like that? Just move in next door?" She looked down at her hands and took a few breaths. I watched and retreated into myself a little in fear. I was afraid that she might actually be upset that we were here. That thought only lasted until she looked up at me and I saw her face. "And I don't even know if you'll stay this..." Peggy trailed off when she saw my hand out for her. She took it and I hoisted her up. I took hold of Angie's hand and pulled them both into a hug.
"I'm here to stay," I promised. We pulled apart a second time, and this time I acknowledged the other people in the room. Angie seemed to as well, as this time she tensed up and turned red. I scoffed and noticed Teddy excitedly introdcuing Pip to a boy in a red tuxedo, Junior, and two girls--one in a pink southern belle dress, Sally, and the other in a laced black mermaid dress, Martha(Laurens).
"Looks like they're getting along just fine." Angie's voice ripped through the silence for just a moment. After a minute of this, Peggy grabbed my hand and led me to the dining room with Angie close behind. Around the table, the adults were drinking and chatting. Peggy took us behind most of them and straight to their parents. Mrs. Schuyler was deep in conversation with Martha(Washington) with her husband sitting at her side, so Mr. Schuyler noticed the three of us first. I was able to pinpoint the exact moment he did when I saw his face light up.
