E. Schuyler's POV
Pacing back and forth, I was mentally breaking down inside my room. We were in our hideaway house almost 24/7 at this point, except for when I sent one of them out on a mission, and I'd developed a habit to seclude myself upstairs when I was upset. This time, I went as far as locking the door to my ginormous room. I was in my silk robe and slippers, walking up and down my room.
My phone rang, as to no surprise really. But, I denied it. I was paying for everything, I could do what I want. After a few moments, I got a text, demanding me to confirm the next steps. While reading it, my fingers dig into my scalp with frustration. Why. Was. This. So. Difficult!?
Just a few days ago, I ordered Rachel's death. Hesitantly, but I still did it without all this extra drama. Maybe because I got a taste of what a family death really meant to Alexander. Or, because this time, I didn't even plan on killing the victim. She gave herself up. So that should make it easier, right? She is willing to die for her cause. Ugh!
I typed the message, the green light signal.
lzbthschlyr: Go ahead now.
Simple, uncreative, and obvious yet straightforward, clear, and easy. First, I sent it to Bennett. It was somewhat easier for some reason. I then copied it, then pasted into a message for Eacker. To ensure she dies, the plan was to create a hole in her medication supply so that she runs out before the nurse would come to refill her back up. Theo already had a low chance of living, that was just to make it certain.
Which for some reason, I couldn't do it.
So, I unlocked my room and turned to the guard I hired to always by my room. Since he followed a strict code of conduct, meaning he couldn't touch anything I owned with a week's notice, I stood on my toes and kissed him. I pretended he was Alexander and kissed and sucked on his lips and around until he seemed dazed.
I held up my phone and asked him to send it in the most seductive voice I could muster, "Please?" He pressed the button without even looking and smirked at me. Winking, I walked back in and closed the door, somewhat satisfied. Until I realized that I basically just ended Theo's life by seducing a random security guard.
Suddenly, I felt extremely crappy. Letting myself fall into the soft and cushioned deluxe bed, I groaned as my phone dropped to the floor.

J. Laurens' POV
As I entered the room, I quickly scanned it and picked up on what was happening. Theo had finished her surgery earlier today and she was now in the same hospital bed as Teddy had been in just yesterday, relying on the same medication until it eventually gave out.
Something was missing though. Alex.
Philip caught sight of me and quickly made his way over. As he drew nearer, I saw the scowl on his face and his staggered breath. He put his hand out and gripped the cloth around my collar.
"You..." he spat out as if it was poison in his mouth. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Scared, I back up against the door, "I'm here for Alex." Instead of letting my voice tremble, I held in as much as I could.
