(I'm kinda realizing how much I forget to put warnings for certain stuff. I'll go back and do that.)

P. Hamilton's POV

"...digging up as much money as he can to buy the simultation and the escorts who're willing take us with the two unconscious. We can't do it here in New York, obviously, so--"

What were they talking about? I couldn't even catch the name, she spoke so fast. I sat on my bed, worried about what I'd heard the day before. The night before was so dreamlike, I hadn't even finished processing everything before it was time to go home. Teddy was then the first thing on my mind--I'd seen her face. I woke up that morning with Theo gone and Aaron worried. He said that Theo had to make a quickly visit a friend in the hospital. I asked about it, but he said it was fine. He pulled Teddy aside to speak with her, and when she returned, she was suddenly bent on me going home. At some point, I'd given in.

I returned home and not a single person was phased by it. Lexi was a little upset that I didn't tell him where I ran off to, but other than that, nobody really worried. Good thing too, since I just needed some time to myself. I sat down on my bed and took time to soak up the past sixteen hours. It had all felt like an hour or two, but apparently, it took that long.

Knock-knock-knock

"Hey, Pip." I looked up and saw Lexi's head poking out from behind my cracked door. "How you doing?"

"Terrible," I responded. "Yesterday's thing was enough to send me over the edge." Lexi ventured into the room and sat himself down at the foot of my bed. "I went in some kinda zombie mode after I saw Teddy's reaction."

"Didn't you talk to her?"

"Yeah." I remembered how I'd tried to forget what happened, and how I'd probably freaked her out like that. "But then I woke up this morning and after Aaron told her somethin,' she just chased me out." Lexi made a humming sound and gave me some sort of thinking look, before repying.

"Did you do anything?"

"I hope not," I sighed. We slipped into a silence while I tried to pinpoint the moment I messed up after we woke up.

"By the way," Lexi spoke up, "how's Theo?" I fell over backwards, disappointed that all the news I had to tell Lexi was sad, gloomy news.

"She's not lookin' too hot."

"How come?" I heard a crack in his voice and quickly explained.

"Aaron claims she's fine, but she left in the middle of the night to visit a friend in the hospital."

He let out a small breath before replying, "And she's still there?"

"Yeah," I nodded. Sick of my self-pity, I decided to shift the conversation towards Lexi. "How's John? 'Liza?"

"Well," he took a deep breath and quickly said, "John's not answering any of my texts, Maddie told me he's busy today, I couldn't catch up to him last night, and I don't think showing up to his house is the best idea right now. Elizabeth keeps texting me errands to do for her--which is absolutely ridiculous--and calling me to tell me she loves me, and there are several random numbers sending me details on a girl named Cassidia Manning who's supposedly his new girlfriend. And to be honest, without her epensive clown makeup, she's kinda hot."

"Damn."

"Watch it."

"Sorry, but seriously?" He confirmed it with a nod, leaving me almost speechless. Almost. "Compared to your ship, Phildosia is a love cruise," I muttered.
