I once read that the hardest thing you could ever do, is to grieve the loss of a person who is still alive. But what happens if you come face to face with that person? The person you mourned over, and grieved the loss of what you once had, and they're right there before you. Completely unaware of the sleepless nights, the countless tears, and physical torment they've caused
I don't think I'll ever quite understand why Harry walked towards me, when he has spent so long running away from me. Why would he attempt to undo the small amount of independence that I had mustered after the break up, and put me right back in that moment? The moment where it all turned to shít.
Looking around the living room, everything is trashed. Empty food containers, tissues, and bottles of wine which were once plentiful, are littered around the room. A movie is playing in the background, though I haven't been paying attention for some time.
My phone vibrates on the arm of the couch, causing it to fall off, landing on the rug. Stretching out whilst trying to move as little as possible, I snake my arm around it, checking to see who has messaged me.
