The Mist Murderer ~ Sebastian Stan p2

You opened your eyes to be met with a bright light. You squinted your eyes and tried to sit up, quickly regretting it because your head started throbbing. Your eyes slowly got used to the light and you saw that you were in an old room. It smelt like old books and ink with a hint of leather. There's a desk in the corner of the room. It's filled with stacks of big books. The walls and floor were made out of wood, just like all the furniture in the room. The room felt familiar, like you had been there before. You thought and thought. Suddenly you remembered, it was Sebastian's house. Sebastian and you were college roommates. He took you to his house when you two needed an escape from school. Sebastian was the only one who had believed you when you told him about the monsters and creatures lurking in the dark. He was the only one who didn't think you were crazy. He was the only person you trusted. You loved him, with all your heart, but he didn't love you back. At least, that's what you thought. He always had a girlfriend. 

You didn't have any contact after college. You were alone. No friends, no family. You had lost your family long ago in a car accident, you were the only survivor. It took time to cope and you did that by studying even harder. Studying to make the voices in your head stop screaming. To make them stop screaming that it was all your fault and that you are a freak. 

The thing you didn't know was that Sebastian did the exact same thing. He studied the creatures you had talked about. He would be studying all day and night, barely getting any sleep, all because he thought he had ended the friendship between you and him. All because he missed you. All because he loved you. He had loved you for a long, long time. He thought you saw him as a brother, so he didn't try. He didn't try to tell you. He didn't try to find out if you felt the same. He did nothing but try to cope by getting girlfriends all the time. He never really loved those girls, he loved you, but still he kept going on kissing them and throwing the girls away like trash a few weeks later. When you noticed him doing this, you were pretty ashamed of him. That wasn't the Sebastian you knew.

The sound of someone clearing their throat immediately pulled you out of your train of thoughts. You looked over to the direction the sound came from. You saw Sebastian standing there. He looked tired. His hair was a mess and his eyes were red, looking like he had been crying. "Sebastian?" You asked. He smiled a bit. "The one and only," he said with a little bit of sadness showing in his eyes. "W-what happened? Why am I here?" You asked confused. You didn't remember anything that had happened at night, probably due to your hangover. "You got attacked by a mist murderer last night. I saved you. You really don't remember, do you?" Sebastian said, his face showing an almost sad expression.

You got up and walked over to him, not caring about your throbbing headache and the excruciating pain in all of your limbs. Sebastian immediately ran over to you and caught you right before you fell. Your legs were weak. Sebastian picked you up and walked back over to the bed. He sat you down before sitting next to you. "Y/n, I have to tell you something. I've been studying monsters, the ones you introduced me to. I've been doing it for a reason. I've missed you, I've missed you so, so much. I couldn't stand being without you. I regret wasting my time on all of those girls. I didn't even see what was right in front of me. I love you Y/n, I love you so much. I'm so sorry for leaving you behind. I really shouln't have done that. I understand if you can't forgive me. I'm sorry." 

Even though you didn't want to forgive him, there was a feeling inside of you. You still loved him. After all those years of missing him, after all those years of being alone with the voices in your head. This was your chance. You wanted to give him another chance, everyone deserves a second chance after all. "Sebastian.. I love you too," you whispered, so quiet you almost thought he missed it until a big smile spread across his face. You both leaned in for a kiss, your lips touching each other. It felt like the perfect moment, like the world around you stopped for a minute. Nothing else but the love you felt for each other.

A/N: I'm so sorry for not uploading a lot. I kind of have a lot going on. I'm going through a bit of a hard time right now. I'll still continue writing though. Love you guys Xx Amber
