6 months later

"Babe!!"

I snap my head backwards to see Adam running up to me from the creek right outside of campus. He places a quick kiss on my cheek before tossing his arm around my shoulder.

"What were you doing at the creek?" I ask looking up into his forest green eyes

"Ronnie needed me, nothing big" He shrugs smiling at me

After i moved up to New York, Me and River had decided not to doing distance and after Dylan slapped me across the face i got to know Adam and we fell for eachother. 2 months strong.

"Are you still stopping by? Stacy is coming by and i dont want to be stuck with my dad and his new fiance" I complain hugging his side

"Yeah, isnt parker there though?"

"After aunt Becca passed, hes been in and out of the house. Hes still recovering" I sigh breathing in his cologne

"Then i'll be there" He softly pecks my nose before his friend calls out for him from across the courtyard. He gives me a quick goodbye look before jogging off.

I knew he had football practice and like usual, he would call me immediately after its over. This was routine. He'd spend as much time with me as he could before football practice or whatever major event he had that day. id make my way to our shared apartment and wait for the ring of my phone to wake me.

Once i reach my room i see a picture that my dad had taken before i shut him out. It was me,River,Cassidy,AJ,Martin,Kason, and Hayden.

I was engulfed in Rivers arms while everyone else had their arms over eachothers shoulders with smile plastered over our faces. This was my family, no matter what they always welcomed me with open arms. I sit on my bed and open my phone to my camera roll and scroll through the videos i took before i left.

The first one was me and Cassidy twirling around a green meadow together before falling to the ground in laughter. I missed her like crazy.

The second was of me and River. A video i used to watch every day. River was standing peacefully with the sun casting against his shadow before i come running into the frame before jumping on his back. A smile spreads across both of our faces and River grips my legs tightly so i dont fall off. I bring my hand around and kiss his cheek as he squints his eyes and smiles even wider. And then it ends. This little video of 10 second happiness is what helped me through this move.

On my bedside sits a picture of me and my dad from when i was younger. Im on his shoulders with a lollipop in my hand and hes looking up at me happily.

All these moments of happiness help me forget all the drama that was going through my life

"I miss you guys" I dryly chuckle glancing at the group photo one last time

"We miss you too"

I turn around to see River standing in my doorway. His smile is uncontainable and mine is starting to glisten too.

I run and jump into his arms before hearing a camera click. I look to my left to see Adam standing there with my white polaroid in his hands and a new photo sliding from the deposit

I grab it and watch as the photo slowly appears.

"This is my new favorite picture" I smile down at it happily

River grabs the polaroid camera and snaps an offguard photo of me before smiling to himself, "And this is mine"
