"River!!"  I shout as the back of his head comes into view in the middle of the parking lot, "River wait!"

"What do you want Atticus" He groans turning around me and rolling his eyes, "Want to break my heart even more by saying how our friendship means nothing to you too?"

"What are you talking about?" I ask him stepping closer so i can actually see his face, "We both agreed to drop our feelings and be friends"

River bites his lip and turns his head away from me to avoid eye contact, "You didnt drop your feelings though did you?" I ask using my fingers to turn him back to me

"How am i supposed to Atticus? Ive been in love with you ever since the first day we talked at the gang house. I dont know if it was knowing you would be a challenge or that i knew you werent like the other girls but i fell for you. And after we hung out more and you started falling for me too i fell in love even more, and your smile would have me smile no matter the situation and i feel like i lost you to that Adam kid because i let you go and-"

Before River had a chance to continue his ramble i grabbed his neck and pulled his lips against mine. Hes shocked at first but knocks into reality after a couple seconds by finally wrapping his arms around my waist.

I slowly pull away but keep our foreheads pressed against eachother while we both settle our breathes.

"I didnt drop my feelings either" I pant looking into his eyes sincerely, "I still love you, so much you have no idea"

"What about Adam?" River asks slowly starting to release his grip on my hips

"Shes all yours"

We both shoot our heads up to see Adam standing behind us with his arms crossed over his chest

"What?" I ask turning around to face him

"You two are obviously heavenly in love with eachother, I will be fine" He shrugs before a smile breaks across my face

I run over to him and crash him into a hug, being sure to close my eyes to savour the moment, "Thank you so much" I mumble into his ear before he chuckles and replies,

"No problem" He laughs pulling away from the hug and then walking back into the apartment building

"Hey mrs.heartbreaker"

I turn around to see River standing there with his hands in his pockets and a smirk stretched across his face, "Is it too late for a date?"

I smile and rush over to him intertwining our fingers, "Its never too late for a milkshake"
