Bellamy
"So, that was awkward," Octavia said, breaking the silence. "Did you guys fight? It looked like a fight from the window."
"Octavia, you're nineteen. You know what a fight looks like," I sighed heavily, my fingers tightening on the steering wheel.
"Did you tell her you wanted her back?"
"I told her I was back. I told her I was following the plan," I explained. "She was very upset, but then suddenly she just stopped being pissed. That's what worries me the most. It's like I'm not worth being mad at anymore. And then she said she had to talk to me, but she said she would after the wedding. So, now I've got to sit here and stew for three weeks and wonder what she wants to tell me. I'm sure it's that she's moved on. She has a new boyfriend who didn't ditch her for the army," I said, bitterly.
"I'm positive that's not it, Bell. Like, I couldn't be more positive of it. We may not talk everyday but I check in with her at least once a week. I have ever since she left."
"She left right after basic training," I sighed. "Three months. I thought about trying to find a way to just get one day to fly home, just one so I could see her. But, when I called you, you told me she had packed up and just left. I guess she didn't want to stay in the room we were supposed to stay in."
Octavia didn't answer me, she just stared ahead. So I assumed I was right.
"Wait!" I practically shouted. "Did she drop out of school?"
"As far as I know, yeah," Octavia answered, quietly.
Now I was fuming! I felt so much guilt over these last years, if she quit because me I was going to scream at her and then feel that guilt piled on, too!
It had been an entire week and I was still sitting on the information that I had pulled from Octavia and that Clarke needed to talk to me. So far, all signs point to she moved on but she didn't want everyone in her business.
She suddenly quit school, something she would NEVER do, ever ever in her whole life. She graduated a year early for Pete's sake. Then, she refused to invite anyone to her house, even Octavia and Raven. Speaking of Raven, she had refused to even speak to me about Clarke, so again, she probably moved on. She had came down maybe a handful of times to hang out with the group and O.
Octavia let it slip than we she first gave in and came to visit, she was too skinny. She looked wonderful now, just as toned as high school. But that makes me wonder if something medical was going on. She wouldn't tell anyone if she was sick, that's who she is. She would hide it because she wouldn't want pity.
So, she was sick or she had moved on. And since she looked amazing last weekend, I was going on boyfriend. Indra has been weirdly quiet about Clarke. Octavia announced that we had seen her, and Indra seemed so excited. But once we told her about the encounter, she kind of shut down. Which again I think means Clarke moved on at some point at least and Indra was hoping she would dump the guy for me.
Which, now that I think about it, sounds like a great idea. I want that girl back so bad...
