All of the Scripture I will be using to teach about Christ dying so we can have Salvation come from the Gospel of John.

John 18:4-8 "Jesus, knowing all that was about to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Who is it you want?"
"Jesus of Nazareth," they replied.
"I am he," Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground. Again he asked them, "Who is it you want?" And they said, "Jesus of Nazareth."
"I told you that I am he," Jesus answered. "If you are looking for me, then let these men go." This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fullfilled: "I have not lost one of those you gave me."

That was when Jesus was arrested, though He had done nothing wrong. He went with the officials from the chief priests and Pharisees willingly because He knew it was God's plan for Him. He did it to bring us Salvation through His blood, shed on the Cross, so that we may live in Heaven with eternal life with God the Father! When Jesus said, "I have not lost one of those you have gave me," what I get from it is that He is saying He hasn't let any of us die yet, and He isn't going to start now! Remember, Jesus died for YOU just over 2,000 years ago today!!!!

John 18:37 "'You are a king, then!'" said Pilate. Jesus answered, " You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify the truth. Everyone on the side of the truth listens to me.'"

Pilate was trying to find a way for Jesus to not be Crucified by getting Him to say He is a king. When Jesus told Pilate in verse 36, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.", Jesus was saying that Hus kingdom is with God, not here on Earth! Now, in verse 37, when Jesus says, "... and for this I came into the world...", He is saying that His purpose for being on Earth was to teach what is right and what is true; that God is the only Great One, He is the Creator, and we should follow His commands. Jesus was saying that He was fullfilling His purpose that God gave Him: teaching about His commands, and dying on the Cross to save us from our sins against God.

John 19:5-6 "When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, "Here is the man!" As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, "Crucify! Crucify!'"

The people shouting this were also the ones who earlier in the week had been shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
They had turned from Jesus, and as Jesus was being taken away, He asked God to forgive them because they didn't know what they were doing. That shows how Christ wanted us to be forgiven by God, and now, because He died on the Cross, we are.

John 19:11 "Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.'".

Jesus knew it was God's will for Bim to die on the Cross; He also said that only God has the true power to make the decision of Christ being Crucified or not. He told Pilate that he didn't have the true power to make the final decision unless it was given to him from above, and he had no true power over Jesus. Christ was basically saying only God had the power over what was about to happen and that no matter what, God was doing it for a purpose: to grant us with eternal life in Heaven with Him and Jesus Christ, our Savior.

John 19:19-21 "Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, "Do not write 'The King of the Jews,' but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews.'"

What they didn't know is that Jesus is the King above all Kings! And, Pilate believed that Jesus was telling the truth, and we should believe in the word of God and in our Salvation through Christ's blood, shed on the Cross to save us! GOD IS BIG ENOUGH!!! GOD IS NOT DEAD!!!! He is here for us, He has a plan.

John 19:30 "When he had recieved the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Just over 2,000 years ago TODAY, the Crucifixion that changed EVERYTHING took place! No matter what, ALWAYS remember that He died that day for YOU to save you from your sins and so that we may be forgiven by God and have eternal life in Heaven through Him!!! Jesus died for US!!!!!

John 19:34-37 "Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimoy is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. These things happened so that scripture would be fullfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken," and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced.'"

During this event, all scripture was fullfilled, and the gift of complete Salvation had begun. When the soldier saw this, he believed. All it took was one event that turned out to be a miracle for us all. There are miracles in my life that have helped me come true and complete in my faith, like my little brother, Reid. He was born about 3 or so months early back in May, 2002. When he was born, he was nearly dead and extreemly small! He had to stay in the NICU for at least a month. I was only 2 when this happened almost 12 years ago, and then I didn't understand it, but know I know how much of a miracle that child is! He is my symbol from above that God is here, He knows what we need from Him, and even when nothing happens quickly, don't EVER loose sight f God. He doesn't give you anything until He knows you trust Him and that He knows you are ready. Because He sent His one and only Son to die on the Cross for our sins, today we shouldn't look at all the struggles in our lives, instead, thank God for all you DO have, because out there, someone is suffering much more than you! Right now, a child is dying in St. Jude from Cancer, and I can garuntee that those dying children are more greatful than those of us who are healthy are. Think about that! Christ died for us today, 2,000 years ago! What more do we need than our Salvation?

John 19:41-42 "At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. Because it was the Jewish day of Preperation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there."

Jesus was placed in a Holy place, and now we all should pray. Just thank Him for giving up His life so that we may have Salvation and eternal life. Every breath you take is a blessing, so don't take advantage of it, you never know which breath could be your last.

Thank you, Christ Jesus, for giving your lufe on the Cross so that I may be saved from my sins. Amen.
