Scorched Love (Newt x Reader)

Chapter 3

"In here!" Teresa yells as we run for cover and slide down a sand dune into a building.
"We need to keep moving" Thomas says and was about to keep running until I speak up.
"Thomas, Thomas stop!" I order and he turns around "Tell us what's going on"
"It's Wicked, it's Wicked, we never escaped. When Aris and I went into the room we saw bodies, strung up and being drained. They want something, something that's in our blood. So we have to get as far away as possible. And I found out something else, from Janson. I don't know if he's lying or not but, it seemed realistic"
"What is it?" Teresa asks
"(Y/N)'s my little sister"
"What?" I ask
"I know it seems but he pointed out stuff to us. Obviously he knew because he is part of Wicked. We think same, we act the same, we look slightly similar. We're both curious"
"Yeah you two never shut up once with questions ever in the maze" Minho said
"And they're the only two to kill grievers" Frypan added
"Exactly"
"So I'm dating your sister?" Newt questions, still confused
"Suppose so"
"Awkward" Winston says and Frypan elbows him.
"Ok, we'll get used to that fact later. What's the plan?" Newt asked
"Um..." Thomas started, he hadn't thought of one. My brother is brilliant.
"We followed you out here Thomas and you have no idea where we're or what we're doing"
"The Right Arm, they're located in the mountains. Janson said they were helping kids like us" Aris said
"The Right Arm, that's where we're heading"
"People, in the mountains, mountain people. That's your plan?" Newt asked
"They're our only chance"
"We should look around here, see what we can salvage" Minho said and we all agreed and split up but I stayed put. My brain was hurting and I had pictures going through my mind of weird things.
"(Y/N)?" Newt asks as he grabs my arm "you coming?"
"Yeah, sorry. Just not used to the fact that I have a brother"
"I'm not used to the fact that he's my best friend. But we'll get through it. Come on, let's see what we can find"

I open up a chest whilst Newt's looking through a pile of stuff when I find a bunch of clothing.
"Hey, if you want clothing, I just found the jackpot" I say and he comes over. I grab a thicker shirt than the one I had on and a jumper with a hood on top. I take off my shirt and out the other one and then slide on the jumper. I see Newt looking over at me as I get changed.
"Your a funny one you know that?" I question laughing slightly
"Hey you can't blame me for looking at you because your beautiful" he smirks as he pulls on a jumper and puts a scarf on. For something that was practically a desert, it still got cold of a night time.
"Why are deserts so cold?"
"Beats me, I thought they were hot. Let's go and meet up with the others and find some other things on the way"

As we met up with the rest of the gang, we all hear shouting coming from up the hallway and see Thomas and Minho run round the corner with a bunch of cranks following them.
"Run!" Thomas yells
"Oh shit" Newt says and we all bolt just as they reach us. We run until we get to some escalators and a crank jumps between the group dividing us. I was in one side with Thomas and Teresa and Aris, Minho, Newt, Fry and Winston on the other.
"Go around" Thomas says to them and they continue running as I jump kick the crank down the escalator. Teresa then hits another one and Thomas does the same and we run. He pushes myself and Teresa in front of him as we run and then the others catch up to us as well and we continue to run. When we get to the top, we run past a couple of stores and then I see Newt get tackled by a Crank and was fighting.
"Thomas, Newt's down!" I yell and we run back. Thomas then kicks the crank and I help Newt up.
"You ok?" Thomas asks as we run again
"Yeah, thanks Tommy"
We then run down a corridor and there are three doors.
"Find one that's open" I say and Thomas tries to open them but they're locked.
"This one" he says when he finds its loose.
"I'll hold them off" Winston says and starts shooting at the cranks.
It takes Frypan to open the door before we can run through it. When Winston goes to run through, he was grabbed.
"Hold on Winston" Minho says and we try to pull him through whilst Newt and Thomas have the door.
We finally get him through the door and he'd been scratched right across his abdomen.
"Go, I'll hold the door" Thomas says and Newt hells with Winston as we start running and then Thomas runs after us as the cranks burst through the door. We then take shelter under a little cliff thing as the cranks run past. Newt holds me close and we all keep quiet. We then all fell asleep somehow.
