Chapter 6

I was walking by myself, slower than the rest of the group and I see Thomas drop back and comes over to me.
"You ok?" He asks
"Yeah I guess, we've just lost so many friends on this journey. Ben, Alby, Gally, Chuck and now Winston"
"I know, but they didn't all die over something stupid, unlike Gally. They all died fighting for something, that's what keeps me going, remembering that"
"True"
"Can I ask you something?"
"You can but it don't mean I'll answer it" I smirk
"Haha very funny. I know it might be a bit personal towards Newt but, why is he always limping?"
"Oh, yeah that's something he needs to tell you. It's not my place to say but, something happened in the glade that's all"
"Ok, must've been bad then"
"It was, want me to see if he's comfortable about talking about it?"
"Nah, he might not want to anyway, since he's said nothing about it"
"Ok"

The clouds start crowding the sky, abducting the sunlight from our view.
"Looks like we'll be getting a storm" Aris said
"Yeah most likely, wanna have a rest for a bit?" Thomas asked
"Those are the best 6 words I have heard you say all day" Frypan said and we laughed as we dropped our stuff. We were all tired so we decided to sleep.

I feel someone cover my mouth and I go to scream but they shush me.
"Teresa?" I ask
"(Y/N), you and the guys need to trust me. With anything, just trust me"
"Why what do you mean?"
"I'm sorry I have to go, just trust me" she says and then disappears.
I was left in confusion but as I look to my left, I see lights.
"Thomas get up, Thomas" I say and shake him awake
"What is it (Y/N)?" He moans
"There lights up ahead" I say pointing and he starts waking up the others.
He gives Newt a bit of a fright by hitting his leg making Newt jump and I laugh.
"A bit of warning next time Thomas and you stop laughing" Newt says glaring at me "what is it?"
"There's lights up ahead, (Y/N) spotted them out"
"Oh yeah" he says as he stands up.
Crash! Bang! Crash!
We turn around and see lightning going crazy behind us and heading our way.
"we need to get out of here" I say
"Couldn't agree more, come on guys" Thomas says and we start running
The Lightning was creeping up on us fast as we ran towards the light which were coming from buildings. We were almost there when lightning goes off right next to me and I go flying, along with Thomas and Minho. I couldn't hear anything except for a ringing in my ears as pain surged through my body. I felt someone grabbing my arms and helping me up and I see Newt. He was saying something but I couldn't hear him. We then started running whilst Frypan helped Thomas with Minho. We then run into the building and slam the door and were surrounded in darkness.
