Scorched Love (Newt x Reader)

Chapter 9

We walked for hours with the sand blowing in our faces which we always had to cover when that occurred. There was no one in sight until suddenly, we saw around five girls heading towards us.
"Is that Teresa?" Frypan asked
"I think it is but who are those other girls?" Newt says
"Whoever they are, they look like trouble. I think we should keep moving" Brenda says
"Not if that's Teresa, I'm not going anywhere if it is" Thomas says. Teresa then reaches us. She looks slightly different.
"Teresa, where have you been?" Thomas asks
"I'm not here for the talk Thomas, I'm here for her" Teresa says pointing at me.
"What?" I ask
"Your not taking her and that's final until you tell us what's going on?" Newt says standing in front of me.
"Get out of the way Newt, wouldn't want to hurt you more than you already are" Teresa says with a smirk on her face and Newt looks shocked. He knew what she meant but how did she know? "I know more than you think Newt"
"Newt, what is she talking about?" Thomas asks
"Oh, so you haven't told him yet? And he looks up to you as a leader, a leader who's scared, weak and is a wimp" Teresa taunts and I but in as Newt glares at her and then he starts to shake slightly.
"Don't you dare talk to him like that! Newt is the bravest person I have ever met and has nothing to hide. He's done a lot more better things then you ever have"
"The little girlfriend stepping in and defending her boyfriend, how cute. Your coming with us whether you like it or not" Teresa says and grabs my wrist.
"Leave my sister alone" Thomas says as he steps forward and pulls me back putting me behind him and Newt who now has a lot to be pissed off about.
"What's the problem with handing her over, we're just gonna hang out"
"The problem is you" Newt growls
"Better watch what you say because, you don't seem armed" Teresa says and then the other four girls that were with her pull out weapons.
"Oh shit" I hear Frypan say
"This girl knows what she's doing" Jorge whispers
"Yeah, that's the problem" Aris says
I then feel someone grab me from behind and I feel a knife at my neck and I yell.
"Newt!" And he turns around and looks at me.
"(Y/N)!" He yells and goes to head towards me but is grabbed by someone and pinned on the ground and he tries to fight.
"Really, what is with bad guys nowadays and putting knives and shit at girls heads and necks?" Brenda questions rolling her eyes
"Now she's coming with us" Teresa says standing next to me.
"You don't know who you're dealing with there, she's gotten away before" Frypan says
"What? Even with a knife to her side so she can't. She makes one move and the other goes in"
I was scared. Why was Teresa like this?
"Now no one follows or she dies" Teresa says and she starts walking off with me and the girl gets off of Newt and he stands up as I leave.
I look back to see them disappear as I walk further into the distance.

I am back from Sydney! Sorry for the short chapter but I'm glad the views have grown on this book, took a while but we're almost at 100. Let's hit it and be ready for the next chapter.
