Scorched Love (Newt x Reader)

Chapter 12

We find our way out of the building and into a little alleyway.
"Let's just stop and rest for a while. We've done a lot of running" Thomas says and we take a seat on the ground.
I drifted off into my own world, remembering what happened a few minutes ago. I could've died but Newt saved me.
"Hey, you ok?" I hear a voice next to me ask and look to my left and see Newt sitting beside me.
"I guess. Thanks for saving me Newt" I say and lay my head on his shoulder and he puts an arm around me.
"I'd hate myself if I didn't. You're the love of my life and I ain't letting you go, ever"
I then hear Thomas and Teresa yelling at each other.
"Why the hell did you hurt my sister?" Thomas questioned
"I did it because I had to. I didn't want everyone getting hurt" Teresa said
"You hurt us by hurting her. You're lucky you know because she has a brother and a boyfriend that could easily beat you up and could've fed you to that crank just before"
"Thomas, easy now. Don't be getting too gruesome" I say as I stand up with Newt and walk over.
"What she did to you was not right (nickname). Not at all and there's no excuse for it"
"I did it because I didn't want Janson hurting any of you. He told me to do it or he might kill you guys" Teresa said
"Well he ain't near us. Ever think of that? How would he touch us?"
"I don't know but he has his ways, right (Y/N)? You remember don't you? Everything he did to us in the tests?" Teresa questioned looking at me and I get an angered look from Thomas which is slightly shocked.
"Yeah, I remember" I sigh
"Wait, you both have your memories back. Newt why don't you have a reaction to this?" Thomas asked
"Because (Y/N) told me that she had them back. I know a couple things that she's told me like we were together before the maze" Newt replies
"And no one decided to tell me?"
"I was going to, but Winston, Jorge and Brenda, the cranks. It all got in the way. I'm sorry" I apologise
Thomas sighs "it's fine. Just tell me next time"
"Where is Brenda anyway?" Teresa asked
I look to my right and see her looking at her ankle and I see a scratch on it just like Winston had on his stomach.
"Brenda, did that crank scratch you?" I ask which gets her attention.
"Um, yeah only a little but I'm fine" she says covering it up
The rest of us all look at each other. We knew what could happen if you got scratched.
"Let's just hope you're immune or otherwise, we're dead"

I sit on the ground, drawing shapes in the dirt with my finger.
"What you doing little sis?" Thomas asks sitting beside me
"Just drawing in the dirt. The usual things you do when you're bored" I say as I draw a love heart.
"You feeling better than earlier?"
"Yeah, I suppose. I'm not as sore as I was and not as shaken up so I guess that's a good thing"
"Sorry you've had to go through all this. I shouldn't of let them put you in the maze"
"It's not your fault Tom. It's all on Wicked. Where are the others anyway?"
"They're with Jorge heading to the Right Arm"
"Well if we're gonna get anywhere, we should get moving" I say standing up
"Yeah, maybe we should but, your boyfriend decided to have a sleep and you're in charge of waking him up"
"Oh don't worry. I have my ways" I say with a smirk and walk over to Newt who's asleep with his head on his backpack.
I sneak up to him and start tickling him and he wakes up laughing and yelling at me.
"(y/N) stop, that tickles. Hahaha, stop please, you're killing me. Stop. I beg you" Newt laughs as well as the rest of us.
"Ok I'll stop" I say and let him catch his breath.
"Remind me to never fall asleep around you ever again" Newt chuckles as he stands up.
"Well, good luck with getting any sleep ever again then" I say and walk over to Thomas leaving Newt rolling his eyes and he comes up beside me.
"Well, now I can tell the others that you got beaten by a girl" Thomas says
"Tell 'em all you want, it's not as bad as being beaten up by a girl like Gally was every fight night. In fact, I don't know a single boy that hasn't been beaten yet" Newt says
"You're standing right next to one Newt. I haven't versed Thomas in anything" I say holding his hand
"Well, let's make sure that is arranged when we find the Right Arm"

I saw Death Cure on the 18th guys! Oh my god I cried so god damn much! Like, legit it's the best movie ever, you're on the edge if your seat, the graphics are amazing, the music is great and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I want to watch it again but I don't want to cry for the whole time again haha. When you see it, let me know how you felt about it!
