(Louis’ P.O.V.)

“Louis, I have to leave,” Quinn said exasperatedly, catching me trying to unpack her bag again.

“No you don’t. I can teach you,” I insisted. She crossed her arms.

“You haven’t gone to school for two years. I highly doubt that,” she said with a hint of a smile. “And good luck teaching me American history.”

“I would for you, babe,” I said. She rolled her eyes and started to pack again. “Can you pull up the car outside? I’m almost done, I’ll be down in a few,” she said. I sighed and went back downstairs. I grabbed my keys and headed down the garage. I didn’t want Quinn to leave because she might not come back for a while, and now that I finally had her, I didn’t want to be without her. After thinking that, I mentally slapped myself for sounding so cheesy.

I got in the car and pulled around, waiting for her to come back down. I leaned back in my seat and shut my eyes, listening to the music. There was a knock on the window and I looked over at Quinn. I rolled down the window.

“So are you gonna help me with this or do I have to do some heavy-lifting?” she asked gesturing to her trunk. I got out and walked around, taking her suitcase and putting in the trunk while she got in the front. She waited for me with an absent-minded smile, nodding her head slightly with the music. I got in and she yawned.

“God, it is too damn early,” she said. I shrugged and started the car.

“Sorry love, but we’re on different time zones,” I said. She curled up a little and I raised my eyebrows at her. “You aren’t going to sleep are you?”

“Yes.”

“Well who am I supposed to talk to?” I asked as we pulled out. She shrugged.

“The guy on the radio. See you when we get there, babe,” she said sleepily. I rolled my eyes at her.

“Don’t I at least get a kiss for driving you there?”

“You get a kiss when I leave, impatient bastard,” she muttered. I snickered and she cracked a small smile. “But I like you anyway.”

“What a relief. I was getting worried that my girlfriend doesn’t like me,” I said sarcastically. She smiled a little bit.

“That sounds nice. You’re girlfriend,” she said wistfully. I smiled to myself as well. It did sound nice. I looked over at my girlfriend and her blue eyes were shut; she was trying to sleep.

I took her to the gate, the sun still hadn’t risen yet. She turned to me, ready to say goodbye. The smiled on her face seemed so real and I wondered why. “Why are you so happy?” I asked cutting her off in the middle of her sentence. She stopped, then smiled again.

“Well, because I’ve got you,” she said blushing slightly. I kissed her one last time and sent her on her.

“I’ll see you next weekend,” I called.

“What?” she asked. The man pushed her in the plane without my answer. I smirked to myself and sat down in the seat, watching the plane take off. I didn’t move from that seat until the sun began to rise. I sighed, casting a last glance at the sky, and went home.

One week later

I pulled up in the driveway of a huge white house. I stared at it in amazement and wondered what her parents did for work; they were obviously rich. I realized that I was sitting my car while Quinn was just a few steps away. I shook my head and knocked on the door, and Alex opened it.
