-3 months after the wedding-

After sending the message to Jackson, he only replied once.

Thank you.

I was sad he didn't say anything more than that but I knew it was the best for both of us. It still pained me whenever I saw his posters and magazine covers in shops but I knew I was healing, I could listen to their songs on the radio without getting angry and I had AJ's song on repeat all the time.

Xing had come visit me in London and I took her around the city, we went on the London Eye, we went to Madame Tussauds, the Natural History Museum and took millions of photos together. I even took her to China Town where she said she felt like she belonged.

I was still single, no other living organisms in my house other than me, my communication with AJ was also getting less and less frequent, Jess was pregnant, and the number of people recognising me had also decreased although occasionally someone would ask me questions.

I was on my way to the airport as I was going to China to visit my grandparents again.

My grandma had fallen seriously ill and I booked the first flight I could've gotten. She was just getting sick because of old age, I was praying that I would make it to China before it was too late.

The entire plane ride was a mess. The turbulence was insane, the guy next to me was trying to flirt, the flight attendants were rude and there was a child crying the entire trip.

I regretted so much not coming back to visit before it had to come to this, I felt so sorry.

The taxi ride was painful, I didn't even bother going to my hotel first, I went directly to the hospital.

"Grandpa!" I hugged him once I entered the hospital. "how is grandma?"

He looked tired and I made him sit down.

"I don't think she has long left." He said. I could tell he was holding back his emotions and I excused myself so I could go into her room and look at her for myself.

"My beautiful granddaughter. How are you?"

She looked weak and frail but I couldn't cry in front of her. I needed to be the strong one in the family.

"I'm doing well, how are you feeling?"

She smiled sadly at me. "I'm okay. I'm happy you're here."

She was lying and she knew it.

"You know the boy you brought once to us?" She asked. I nodded, "He visited me a couple of hours ago."

I was beyond shocked. How did he hear about it? How did he know where she was and why did he come in the first place?

"He's still very sweet. I'm sad things couldn't work out for the two of you but he was so well-behaved. He brought me flowers." She gestured to her bedside table where a bunch of flowers were in. "I know he still cares for you. I see it in the way he spoke about you."

"What did he say?" I said a little too eagerly.

She laughed weakly. "I knew you weren't over him. He didn't say much, but when I asked what happened between you two, he said he was the reason for your break up and he couldn't be more sorry. The way he spoke about you almost made even my little ol' heart skip a beat. His eyes glistened when he said your name. He loves you."

I didn't say anything but I held her hand in mine.

"All I want for you, is that you can be happy." She squeezed my hand lightly.
