Chapter 22 - the end

"Okay we're here." Jack took his hands off my eyes.

We were stood next to a small airplane and there were two others standing next to the plane. One was definitely the pilot but the other was in this one piece with a backpack on.

"Jack... If this is what I think it is..." I didn't want to say that I thought it was skydiving since it seemed too good to be true.

"Yup. Just give me the boyfriend of the year award." He said while puffing out his chest. "We're going skydiving."

"YESSS!" I was beyond excited, I hd always wanted to go skydiving, it had always been on my bucket list ever since I knew what skydiving was.

"You're too cute." He chuckled and kissed my forehead.

We got geared up and I couldn't stop jumping up and down.

"You're the best!" I kissed him deeply.

"You shouldn't get too excited, you know what that does to me." He smirked. "Wait until later."

"You should be expecting the best night of your life today." I whispered into his ear while placing my hand on his chest, I felt him tense and I giggled.

"We should- ehem- stop." He took my hand in his and dragged me to the plane.

"I can't believe this is actually happening!" I couldn't stay still.

The instructor told us about the correct position to fall in, sure he was going to have to fall with us since neither Jack or I had our skydiving licence or whatever it was called but we still needed to know the procedure.

The plane took off and I got even more giddy.

"We've got to film this experience." Jack said and I nodded eagerly, I was never going to forget that day. He handed me a Go Pro and helped me strap it to my hand, his hands were quivering but he tried not to show it.

"You nervous?" I mocked.

"You'll never know." He smiled reassuringly before kissing me.

We reached the destination in the sky soon and the instructor pushed Jack to the side, Jack was going to jump first and I was going to follow after.

He was gone in the blink of an eye.

"You ready?" The other instructor asked me.

"I've been ready my whole life." I said as we got nearer to the edge.

"Okay, 3......2........1!"

We were falling through the air and I had never felt exhilarated like this before.

"Oh my god! This is insane!" I felt sorry for the guy because my hair kept whipping him but I was so overwhelmed with adrenalin.

"Look down." He said.

On the floor where we were going to land was the faint outline of a heart.

"Oh my god!" I couldn't stop saying that.

We got closer and closer and I could see the heart much clearer, I could also see the small dot that was Jack.

The parachute was released and the speed we fell at decreased immediately.

The closer we got to the ground, the faster my heart beat.

Was that what I thought it was.

We landed in the heart and I was facing Jack directly. He was down on one knee with a small black box in his hand.

"Jack-" Tears started forming in my eyes.

"Suzy Bennett, the love of my life. You've brought me happiness like I had never felt before. When I get to wake up to you, I think about how I want to do it for the rest of my life. We've been through thick and thin but you've stuck with me through everything. I know the lifestyle I'm offering isn't an easy one but if anyone was made for it, it would be you. I think about how much I want to have a family with you, something I never thought I would have until the day we met. I still remember your wide eyes the day I forced you to help me run from my security guards, those were the eyes I fell in love with immediately, the eyes I will love until I die. Suzy Bennett, will you marry me?"

I couldn't stop the tears that were coming out of my eyes.

"Yes" I choked up and pulled him up for his lips to meet mine. "I love you so much"

"I love you too." He said and slid the ring onto my finger. He kissed my hand that now had the ring on it.

"It's beautiful." I admired his taste.

"But you're more beautiful."

I kept crying into his chest and I couldn't stop thinking about how happy I was. Like he said, we went through so much together but found ourselves back together.

Suddenly people started cheering.

I turned around to see all of our family and friends which only made me cry harder.

"Congrats mate." AJ said as he pulled Jack in for a hug. "It's about time you proposed."

Johnny was crying and I hugged him.

"I want love like this." He cried into my shoulder.

I couldn't help but chuckle at the way he cried."You will, trust me. You're a great guy."

"You guys are perfect for each other." He said between gasps of air.

Ren came and hugged me too, congratulating me.

"Move out of my way so I can hug my best friend!" I heard Jess say aggressively. "SUZY!"

"JESS!" I said as I prepared myself for her embrace.

"Congratulations! I knew he was the one for you."

"Weren't you the one who threatened to kill him that time we were in the cafe?" I raised my eyebrow at her. She put her finger up to my lips shushing me.

"We do not talk about those dark times. You will make the cutest babies, obviously not as cute as Sunny but you'll come close in second."

After she spoke to me I saw her walk towards Jack, I knew very well that she was going to threaten him but I knew Jack was never going to hurt me.

AJ walked up to me slowly and I could see the tears in his eyes which only opened the taps in my eyes once again.

"I'm so happy for you." He said and hugged me tightly. "You deserve the world."

"Thank you so much AJ. For everything, you've been there for me even when Jack and I weren't doing so well. You deserve the world and more" I quoted him. " I want you to find someone to love you the way everyone deserves to be loved. But you deserve it a little more." I joked.

"I'm now waiting for the wedding. You better let me help you pick out a wedding dress." He winked.

I saw my grandad standing in front of me and I ran to him.

"Grandpa." I hugged him and cried once more.

"Suzy, you look awful." He laughed.

"I love you." I said and kept hugging him.

"I love you too. I'm waiting for some great grandchildren now." He said. " I know he's perfect for you. The day you brought him to see us, I saw the way he looked at you, he loves you so much and I know he will never hurt you. You deserve love, after everything you've been through, you deserve love." He kissed my cheek. "Tell me when the wedding is and I'll walk you down the aisle."

I looked around me and saw all the people that I loved.

Never did I think that there were this many people in my life that cared about me. Jack came and wrapped his arm around my waist.

"What are you thinking about sweetheart?"

"How happy I am."

"I promise to keep you this happy for the rest of your life." He said and kissed my hair.

"I know you will."
