Chapter 5 - who is he?

That night, I couldn't stop thinking about Jack and the way his lips felt against mine.

I stayed up all night thinking about him even though I knew I needed to go to sleep because I had to see three patients the next day.

It was 4 o'clock in the morning when my phone beeped.

It was Jack.

Are you up?

Yeah, I can't sleep.

Me neither, what have you done to me Suzy?

More like what have you done to me?

I want to meet up again soon. When are you free?

I'm free anytime this weekend.

Is Sunday good? I'm going to come after work so it would be quite late.

That's fine.

I didn't care when he would come, but as long as I got to see him, it didn't matter what time.

Good, I guess I'll see you on Sunday then. You should try and get some sleep. I wouldn't want you to wake up with dark circles tomorrow, you're too beautiful for that.

He knew exactly how to get a girl's heart racing.

I don't believe that he only had 2 girlfriends. Liar.

"SHUT UP!" I had finally told Jess about Jack and how we met and our encounter in Florida.

"I was there in Florida! Why did I not see this gorgeous piece of man?" She grabbed my phone and scrolled through the pictures we took together.

"You were sleeping, it was really late that night."

"YOU SNUCK OUT TO SEE HIM??" She shouted at me.

"No, stop shouting. I couldn't sleep and I happened to bump into him."

"Holy crap Suzy! You're the luckiest person in the world! He's so hot!"

"Hey hey hey, stop eyeing him please."

"Ooo I feel the protectiveness already. Have you guys kissed?"

"Yeah we di--"

"OH MY GOD SUZY!"

"STOP SHOUTING!"

"Sorry, I can't calm down, this is so great! He's so perfect! You guys are such a good looking couple!"

"I don't even know if we can be classified as a couple yet."

"You and him, two people, when put together, are a couple." She explained slowly to me.

I playfully pushed her and decided to let her continue.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I thought I'd never see him again, but I guess I should've known that was going to be impossible."

"You guys are sooooo adorable." She said as she looked at my phone wallpaper. "If I weren't taken, I would totally go after him."

"Don't say that." I stopped her, she was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen so I had no doubt if she wanted Jack, she would have Jack. She was 175cm tall, model like proportions, long straight auburn hair and she was smart.

I on the other hand, although standing at a reasonable height of 168cm, next to her I was tiny and I wasn't particularly slim but had respectable curves with wavy brown hair and although I was smart, I couldn't compare to her.
