"What are you doing here?" I turned around to see mystery guy in all his glory.
He was even more good looking in the moonlight. I couldn't take my eyes off of his shirt that clung onto his abs.
"I could ask you the same thing." He smiled at me.
Maybe it was the fact that it was really late at night but that smile melted my heart.
"I'm on holiday with my friend." I crossed my arms, determined that he wasn't going to effect me.
"Me too, remember? I told you me and a couple of my friends were travelling around the world."
What was the likelihood of us ending up in the same hotel in a completely different country. It only happens in romance novels.
"You two know each other?" The receptionist used, I almost forgot he was even there.
"Yeah back where we're from."
"Where is that?"
"Can you not tell by my accent?" I joked, "We're from a city in England."
"Oh wow that's cool." He sounded so fake but I let it pass.
"I guess it's getting late, I'm going back to my room now." I said to break the awkward silence. "It was nice meeting you..."
"Marco"
"Marco, I hope you don't give up on your dream, I think you can do it." I smiled at him.
"Thank you, it was nice meeting you too."
I was about to leave with mystery guy but the receptionist called him back to talk to him.
"I guess I'll see you later then." I said.
"Wait for me by the elevators, this won't take long." He said as he grabbed my arm before I could walk further. Deja vu anyone?
"O-kay" I managed to say.
I waited patiently and wondered why Marco needed to speak to him.
"I'm back." He announced.
"What was that about?" I asked.
"He just wanted to make sure everything was fine with my room."
"He didn't ask about mine." I pouted. "How rude."
He squeezed my cheeks and teased me.
"How rude." He mimicked.
"Shut up. Let's go. What floor are you on?" I asked.
"8." What a surprise, he was on the same floor as me.
"Why do I keep bumping into you?" It was so strange, what if I couldn't sleep because my body knew he was in the building? No stop. That's just weird.
"I'm not sure, maybe it's the universe telling us we should be together." He said with a stern face.
"You're kidding right."
"Of course, I'm not that stupid, I think it's just a coincidence."
"How come I never saw you before then? It all started when you were running from the police."
"I don't usually come out of my house that much so maybe that's why we never met before. But that day I was feeling adventurous."
"Fine, that's a valid reason I guess. Why haven't you texted me?" I let the last question slip before I could stop myself.
"I lost my phone." He said quickly.
"That's a lie." I narrowed my eyes at him.
"It's hard to explain but basically I don't have my phone with me at all, I did try and get it back but I couldn't. There was no way I could've been able to contact you."
