Chapter 12 - concert in Shanghai

"Ren, you didn't extend your leg far enough and Johnny your arm movements weren't sharp enough." I critiqued.

"Holy shit guys, she's good!" AJ said.

Currently AJ and I were watching the other three boys practicing so we could give feedback. No one believed me when I said I would be able to help them and pick up their mistakes.

"Why don't you guys trust me?" I said feigning anger.

"We should seriously trust her." AJ said approvingly.

"She usually bluffs about these kind of things, I never know when she's telling the truth." Jack explained.

"Well now you guys can trust me. So carry on and I'll give you more criticism." I shooed them away.

They kept practicing and I could tell just how much effort they were putting in. They were so hard working and they didn't complain about anything.

It was soon 1 in the morning and they never stopped for a break.

"Let's go out to eat! My treat." The manager said. I was surprised he was still here since he didn't manage this kind of stuff but I guess he felt responsible for these boys.

"You guys should go-" I started.

"No you should join us too, you only have a couple of days with Jack and I don't want to separate you." The manager said kindly.

Jack and I had another great night together and our previous morning was repeated but this time we had to finish earlier.

The boys needed to rehearse at their concert venue and so I joined them.

"Woahhhh!" I exclaimed. "WOAHHHH!! It's so big!!"

"You've never been to a concert before?" Johnny laughed at me.

"Nope, I've always been to busy. Are all of your concerts always this big?"

"Not always but since we only have two concerts in China, we needed bigger venues. But this isn't even the biggest venue we've had." Ren said.

"Wow you guys are seriously popular." I nodded in approval.

"It's not a big deal. We're not that popular." Johnny said while scratching the back on his head.

"Let's do a sound check everyone!" The director said and I sat down in one of the front row seas and watched them as they tested their mics.

The more I watched them, the more I fell in love with their group. They were so perfect when performing and they took themselves so seriously. None of that messing around or being goofy, they were so concentrated.

"How was that?" Johnny asked me once they finished running through a couple of songs. They were sweating and panting.

I jumped into their stage and started to wipe their sweat.

"It was really good, I wish I could watch it tomorrow." I said as I wiped AJ's sweat.

"You know you can watch us, just backstage? We can bring as many people as we want, we just don't have any spaces in he audience but you can come backstage and stay with our manager." Ren offered.

I moved on to wipe Jack's sweat and he looked at me eagerly.

"Do you want me to?" I asked him.

"Is that even a question?" He said and took the towel from me.

"Alright, I'll come, what time tomorrow?" I asked.

"I'm guessing you'll be with Jack again tonight so he'll bring you tomorrow." Johnny winked.
