Once we had reached the bottom of the Mountain we set up camp. Our feet and legs were sore. The hobbits fell to sleep very quickly after they had eaten. I too was exhausted from staying up half the night keeping watch the night before. I dozed off into a dreamless sleep and the next morning I was awoken by Aragorn who shook my shoulder lightly.
"I'm sorry Yavanna, but we are to be heading off soon. Make sure to have something to eat." He affirmed. With my eyes still closed I nodded and rubbed the sleep from my face. As every morning, I combed my hair, used a small rag and water and dared to use my small bar of elvish soap I had been rationing to clean my skin where I could. The morning breeze coldly kissed my skin dry and my hairs stood on end and I shivered. Once I rolled up my makeshift bed, which was little more than 2 blankets and then my cloak as a pillow, I had a bite to eat and was ready to move out with the others. It was early. It was obvious that none of the group had wanted to make a move at first light, but we had to make up the ground we lost the day before on the mountain.

The Fellowship walked by the side of the lake along the walls of Moria. Frodo's foot slipped into the water and I helped him gain his balance, letting him hold my hand.

"Now, let's see," said Gandalf, to himself, "Ithildin -- it mirrors only starlight and moonlight." Gandalf stopped in front of the doors and we all stopped and watched closely.
The Moon appeared from behind the shadowy clouds and the doors illuminated with an cool blue glow.

"It reads 'The doors of Durin, Lord of Moria. Speak, friend, and enter.'" Gandalf read from the top of the doors.
"What do you suppose that means?" Merry asked slightly puzzled.
"Oh it's quite simple. If you are a friend you speak the password and the doors will open...Annon Edhellen edro hi ammen!" Meaning, "Gate of the Elves open now for me!"
"Fennas Nogothrim lasto beth lammed!"

Nothing happened. The stone doors remained closed. Gandalf started to push it. Time went by and we all sat down on rocks, waiting for Gandalf to find the words that would open up the stone doors.
"I once knew every spell in all the tongues of the Elves, Men, and Orcs." Gandalf said to himself slightly annoyed.
"What are you going to do, then?" Pippin piped up.
"Knock your head against these doors, Peregrin Took! And if that does not shatter them and I am allowed a little peace from foolish questions! I will try to find the opening words." Gandalf wanted peace and quiet while he thought how to open the doors. Pippin looked a bit embarrassed and walked away and talked to Merry.

"Ando Eldarinwa a lasta quettanya, Fenda Casarinwa!" Gandalf continued to chant words in the attempt to open the doors, but they still stayed shut.

I sat on a rock and saw Aragorn taking off Bill's bridle as Sam pet Bill goodbye sadly, but he wasn't to worry atsbhe knew the way home, back to Riverndell. Merry through a stone into the water, bored and was trying to amuse himself. I got up from my seat abruptly walked over. Pippin was about to throw a stone as well, but Aragorn stopped him and held his arm back, and I placed a hand on Merry's shoulder.
