"Noooooooooooo!" Frodo lamented in desperation. Boromir seized hold of Frodo and fled, calling out to Aragorn.
"Noooooooooooo!" Frodo continued to wail wretchedly for Gandalf even as he was carried away.
A

ragorn and I were stunned. We both stared at the bridge in incredulity. For a moment we did not move, but then orc arrows start whistling by us once again, shooting at our companions. Dodging, we both wheeled around and followed the others up the stairs.

The Fellowship came streaming out of the East Gate of Moria, a cold breeze blew on my thigh making it sting, but I was to dazed and dumbfounded to care in that moment.
Everyone was distraught. Sam had collapsed to the ground, bowing his head and wept bitterly. Merry consoled Pippin, who lay crying. Boromir tried to restrain Gimli as the dwarf vented out his rage and sorrow. Legolas wore a look of shock and disbelief trying to keep it together. I stood totally still, shocked and confused and tears rolled down my cheek. The salty release calmly flowed into my mouth and I tasted my own sorrow.
Aragorn wiped his sword clean, sheathed it and turned to the others.

"Legolas, get them up," he ordered, their voices muffled into my subconscious, as I watched the image of Gandalf falling again inside my head. If I thought hard enough, maybe I could make it be just all in my head. Maybe this isn't really happening.
"

Give them a moment for pity's sake." Boromir pleaded.
"By nightfall these hills will be swarming with orcs! We must reach the Woods of Lothlorien. Come Boromir, Legolas, Yavanna, get them up." But I didn't move, I felt so disconnected and separate from everyone.
Frodo, a few paces away, grieved alone and wept silently as he turned towards Aragorn. From here he could easily be mistaken  as a small, sad, child. I deliriously began to observe as i loked around, the soot and blood that clung to the skins of all the fellowship, but I knew deep down that a rag and water with a touch of waxy soap wouldn't be enough to clean us from our experience in Moria. We didn't deserve this. My friends didn't deserve this, none of it.

I forced myself back into reality and took a step forward ready to go, but winced and fell back on to a rock. I could feel the pain now as my adrenaline had subsided and my leg was throbbing.

I looked down at my leg; blood was soaking my trousers around the gash and had spread down past my knee on to my shin a little. I took a deep shaking breath and didn't know what I should do and I couldn't exactly hide it from the Fellowship. It was an impressive gash and had made such a mess. I moved the ripped bits of trouser leg out the way so I could take a closer look. It was about 5 inches long and an inch deep. I touched the skin around in gently and sucked my teeth at the pain. Everyone was stood up and were beginning to move out; I stood up gingerly, trying not to pull on the skin. I ambled towards the rest of the Fellowship, and Aragorn turned to check that I was coming and gave me a confused expression. I just fixed eyes with him seriously, but his eyes trailed over my body he saw the blood draining out from around my leg.
