Let me give a little background. My name is Jenn Davison, and I'm 18 years old. My boyfriend Shawn and I have been dating for almost 2 years. Our anniversary is tomorrow, actually.
For our anniversary, I got shawn a new guitar case. His was wearing out. I also got him a framed collage of pictures of us. The last thing I got him was a leather bracelet with the date of when we first started dating engraved on the inside. I hope he likes it!
I'm on my way to the mall to get a new outfit for our dinner tomorrow. Shawn said he got reservations at a fancy Italian place downtown (cliche, I know). I was just going to wear one of my dresses that I already have, but the nicest one I have is ripped, so I need a new one. I'm going to go ahead and get a few other outfits because it's almost fall time, and my wardrobe needs help.
I found a dress I really liked! It's light blue and simple, but elegant. Perfect for the occasion! The color brings out the blue in my eyes, and contrasts well with my pale skin and caramel hair. I also picked up some strappy sandals. For my other outfits, I got a few pairs of leggings and some sweaters. I decided to wait to get more clothes.
*the next day*
I woke up late today, and I really didn't get anything accomplished. Shawn and I literally sat around and watched movies all day.
Shawn's pov
I got a gig and I'm going on tour. It's great news, only Jenn doesn't know yet. And I don't know how I'm going to tell her. I hope I can make it up to her by giving her the presents I got for our anniversary.
I got her a silver necklace with a small heart charm that says 'S+J' on the back. I also got her a promise ring with an infinity sign. I also got her a teddy bear for no reason😂.
Jenn's pov
I'm ready. My hair hangs in loose curls, with a few pieces pulled back and secured with bobby pins. My makeup is done, with my cheek bones shimmering, my eyes standing out with bold winged eyeliner, and my lips smooth with nude lip stick. I grab my clutch with money and my phone, and walk out the door to Shawn's car. He had to run home to get ready.
We just ordered, and Shawn says he has news. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time.
Shawn's pov
We just ordered and I'm about to tell Jenn about tour. She looks so beautiful. I don't want to be the one to ruin her smile. Here goes.
Jenn's pov
"What?" My voice cracked as I processed what this meant. Shawn just told me he's going on a national tour as a performer. I'm happy for him, but I don't know how I can be 3 months without him.
We're now leaving the restaurant, and heading back to my apartment. I'm still a little bummed about Shawn leaving, but I'm still happy. When we get back, we're going to exchange gifts.
Shawn's pov
Jenn's reaction wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it still hurt me seeing her face fall.
Jenn's pov
Shawn loved his gifts, and I'm so in love with mine. He got me a beautiful necklace that has our initials on the back of a little heart charm. I also got a ring with a little infinity sign on the band that has little diamonds all throughout the infinity. I love him so much.
*one week later*
Shawn's pov
I'm about to leave for tour. We are about to board the plane and Jenn and I are saying our last goodbyes. "Bye" she says through her tears. I wipe the tears from her cheeks and say, "it's not goodbye. I'll see you soon. Okay?" She nods squeezing her eyes closed. "I love you" I whisper in her ear. "I love you more", she chokes out. "Impossible", I say. We share a passionate kiss before I board the plane.
*1 Month Later*
Jenn's pov
I hate Shawn being on tour. But I'm going to see his show tonight! He's performing only and hour away, so I'm going up to see him. I can't wait.
I arrive at the arena, and there are a few thousand screaming fans inside. Shawn doesn't know I'm here, I can't wait to see his face!
I already checked with his manager, and the guards know I'm coming so I'll be able to get in through the back. I walk in and I hear crying. What?? It sounds like Shawn. I peek around the corner of where I hear the crying coming from. I see Shawn and his manager talking. "Shawn, we need to start the meet and greet in 5 minutes. Go clean yourself up and get ready for the meet and greet.", I hear his manager say. "I just can't stop thinking about her. I miss her so much.", Shawn says through sobs" By now, his manager has already walked out through the side door, so he didn't see me. I walked in and gave Shawn a hug. He looked up and his eyes widened and he smiled so big and hugged me so tight. He was speechless. "I don't like tour.",he said. "Me either.", I said.
He finished the show with a smile, and we went to Shawn's hotel. He cancelled the rest of the tour, and so now we're spending a lot more time together.
I love this boy so much.
