...A bird? And it's huge?!

I pulled a kunai out of one of my ninja tools bag and approached the huge white bird. When I was near enough, I noticed that the bird wasn't really moving like a bird would do and its head's not entirely like a bird.

What is this?

"It looks fascinating though..." I touched it. "It's clay..."

"Isn't it?" A voice was heard.

"Who's there!?" I was about to turn around when my movements was stopped and my mouth was covered with a hand.

"Shh...we're not here to harm you or your friends. We're here to talk to you, un." His deep voice whispered at my ear.

Once he finished talking, he let go of me and I quickly returned to my position. Kunai held in my hand, ready to attack the enemy. I analyzed the looks of enemy.

He was a long blond headed guy with bangs covering his left blue eye. He was wearing a black cloak with red clouds on it.

Black cloak with red clouds. Akatsuki?!

"Looks like you've figured out who we are, un?" The blond said, looking so arrogantly at me. We?

"Hey, hey, Deidara-senpai! Is she the girl we're looking for?" A husky voice said. A guy with the same clothing and an orange mask appeared.

"Shut up, Tobi. And, yes, un." He warned. "As I've told you, we're here to talk." He relaxed as he spoke.

This made me assure that they weren't going to harm me. "B-before that..." I put down my kunai. "Can I touch that bird...?" I shyly asked the blond.

"Hmm?" He looked at me with confused expression.

I proceeded to caress the clay bird and be fascinated by the art. "This is so cool. This is your ninjutsu?" I asked excitedly.

His expression turned amused after hearing the praise from me. "You're right, un. I assume you can appreciate such art like mine, un."

"What does it do?" I tilted my head out of curiosity

"What does it do?" I tilted my head out of curiosity.

"Hn. It explodes! After all, art is a bang!" He arrogantly expressed.

"I see. That's cool." I calmly said, praising him more.

"Deidara-senpai! Enough with the chit chats! We still have other missions to finish!" Tobi, the masked man, complained.

"Gah. Just as I found someone that could share the same appreciation of art with me, un." He frowned.

I chuckled. "So, what do you want to tell me?"

"I'll get straight to the point, un. Leader-sama wants you to join the Akatsuki, un." His voice got serious and to be quite honest, I find it sexy.

Gah. Am I being unloyal to Shikamaru-kun?!

"Wh-what...?!" I exclaimed. No one has ever wanted me in anything. No one.

"Leader-sama wanted your power to be in the Akatsuki, un. You don't have to answer right now. We'll give you...a week." He declared. And that, He and the masked man rode the clay bird and flew.

Join the Akatsuki...? If I do that...I would be abandoning all of what I have in life and that would lead to betraying the village.

If I stay, would I actually gain something else? Aside from the small possibility of trust the village will give me?

I sighed as I looked up the sky that was covered with enormous clouds.

[3rd POV]

"Aren't you supposed to be watching over?" Shikamaru's voice echoed in the silent forest.

Heartbeat skipped. It was unclear to Y/N if it was a feeling of being conscious to her love of her life or if it was a feeling of nervousness of getting caught talking with the enemy.

"I'm sorry. I just thought there was something else here. I'm sorry I woke you up." She lied. That's what she's good at after all.

Unbeknownst to Y/N, Shikamaru heard everything. He was hoping she would not get in their trap. He would not let them have her. He trust her.

"It's okay. Come on, let's go back." He turned back. Y/N was feeling bothered. She felt like Shikamaru went farther away from her again, to the point that she cannot reach him anymore, even his hand.
