I've Always Been [Shikamaru x Reader x Deidara]

Chapter 23: Feel It!

They were led to a room as soon as they have given the scroll. She didn't want to leave the room without Shikamaru with them.

She just didn't feel right with Temari being around Shikamaru. But she was forced to leave them alone.

And, she regretted that. When she went out of the room to find him, she have thought that she should've stayed despite him telling them to go ahead.

Cause what she saw made her realised if in her second chance of living, has she given him all trouble? Or has she ever made him smile like how Temari made him.

And, he felt it again. The stinging sensation in their heart. He caught her clutching on her shirt, right where her heart is and when he finally saw her, she showed no emotions towards him.

He finally understood. All she wanted was for him to look at her the way she looked at him.

"The fanciest is yours, Shikamaru-kun."

"Fanciest?"

"Apparently, Temari-san made yours with full of love." Her words were covered with poison. She had stated a sarcastic comment, filled with poison called jealousy.

She felt so envious that Temari could do all the things she couldn't. She finally understands why Shikamaru was so attracted to her.

A smile filled with joy erupted from Y/N when he made a promise of cuddling with her. She felt so close to him.

So warm.

But she knew that every time her heart was filled with happiness, pain would burst its way in.

No matter how much she tries not to think about it, it would force its way in to her soul.

I could've done better for her. The genius thought as he continued to feel the pain of the person who ever loved him the most. The person who loved him as much as Temari did.

Shikamaru's mom, Yoshino, insisted on getting her a yukata for the fireworks display he was forced to tagged along.

She was loaded with excitement. She felt like it was a date with the lazy Nara and yet, he had no interest in it.

He never knew how excited she was and he ruined it when he decided to meet the love of his life, Temari.

She was searching all over the place, wishing she could be beside the person she loves. She even declined all the help.

She even bought souvenirs for the chunin ninja, thinking he would like it for sure.

She only wanted this night to be beautiful and risk her feelings because all this time she knew she never had the chance of being loved by him.

And when she thought it was the worst feeling, she saw her worst nightmare.

And, it triggered the wolf.

"AAAAAGHHH. WHAT...THE HELL...!! It hurts!" Shikamaru clutched hard on his vest, taking it off and hold onto his shirt for his dear life.

Just how much pain did she endure!? I can't believe she was still alive after this! This is too much pain!

"Shikamaru!" Temari slumped her butt on the ground and wrapped her arms around the Nara. "Stay with me! You have to survive this!"

This is the most painful thing I've ever felt!

When she had transformed into her wolf form, she couldn't think straight. All her wolf self said was to kill the woman.

Kill the woman he love.

But she was stopped by him.

She was so scared of him being angry at her. She was at fault his loved one got hurt. "I'm sorry..." She apologized, feeling all guilty.

He told her no one blamed her but nevertheless, she received a punishment of being grounded for a week.

She met the blond Akatsuki that first night of being grounded. They talked and talked, and talked. She felt happy someone was looking at her and she wished Shikamaru would look at her at way Deidara did.

Every night, they talked until the third night of being grounded.

Although she had decided on her choice, she had doubts. She didn't want to waste all the things the Nara Clan has done for her but she thought, if she stayed she would hurt them again.

She never wanted that.

She was forced to finalize her choice when Shikaku and several anbus surrounded the household. The moment she defended Deidara, she knew she lost the trust of his father.

She did the most idiotic and only way to escape the situation: she transformed and escaped together with Deidara. (A/N: they eloped. Jk. 😂😂😂)

She wished she could change the situation but it was for the better.

She missed him so much. Every moment, everyday, every hour, every second. She tried to forget about him but every time she does, he would slowly creep in her heart and mind.

But every time she was with Deidara, she could actually completely forget about him, she was smiling.

Shikamaru was silent as he witness how much she has suffered under his wing. She was more smiling when he was with Deidara.

He thought, maybe she was really better off with Deidara. Since he likes her and all.

But if he had looked at her way, maybe...just maybe...she wouldn't have been like this.
