"Arf! Arf!"

Tomoko grinned at the husky that was prancing around her legs excitedly. She knelt down to pet the furball, and the shortened distance allowed him to tickle her cheeks with affectionate licks.

Today was the fourth day of the Winter Cup, subsequently, it was Seirin's third game. While she couldn't sit with her teammates inside the arena, she decided to surprise them after the match was over by waiting for them with Number 2. The cheers from the audience had subsided some time ago and she imagined that her team was already in the locker room and cleaning up. No wonder the pup in her arms was excited.

"They should be out any minute now," she couldn't contain the enthusiasm from her voice either.

"Arf!"

"Eh, isn't that Okuma-chan? Okuma-chan!"

She turned from her crouched position and saw Koganei waving at her. Behind him, the team followed with tired, but confident expressions. Her face lit up. "Koga-kun! Everyone!"

"Mou, didn't I tell you to stay home?" Riko reprimanded, though it was clear that she wasn't the slightest bit upset. Tomoko flashed them a sheepish grin before popping the question.

"How'd it go?! Did we kick some butt?"

"Is that even a question?" Kagami answered with his gruff voice while grinning alongside the rest of the team. "I could go up to Yosen right now and beat them too!"

"Don't get too carried away, Bakagmi!" Riko smacked his head. "I still have to get the videos of Yosen from the recon team after their match. We'll be analyzing their last two performances, so let's gather at Kagami's apartment tonight."

"W-Wait, when did we agree to use my apartment?" the redhead questioned in surprise.

"Are you not okay with the arrangement?"

"Well, it's not that..."

"Then what's the problem?"

Kagami went silent at the girl's suspicion and only shook his head. There was no problem, really, as long as she didn't decide to also have another cooking episode there. Tomoko let out a light chuckle and turned to Kuroko.

"Good work, Tetsuya-kun," she said with a lopsided grin. She missed the feeling of being able to congratulate her team when the match was over, even if it's only been two days. Only when she experienced the separation did she realize how much the basketball team really meant to her. It was thankfully the last day of her 'banishment'. "I can't wait to finally see you guys play tomorrow! I missed you guys!"

"Yeah," he nodded in appreciation, looking into her eyes with sincerity. "I―"

"Come on you two! We're heading to Maji for a quick bite," Izuki called, breaking the shadow's sentence as he ushered them out of the giant gymnasium. "Lettuce moo-ve along~!"

"..."

"Nice one, Izuki-senpai!"

"Game over!"

Seirin collectively looked stunned after the buzzer rang in the video, announcing the end of the match for Yosen and their third opponent. They thought it was a fluke at first, but when the second video showed the same scenario, they realized that it wasn't just one opponent was particularly bad at breaking Yosen's defense, but rather Yosen's defense was unbreakable.
