"Hey mom! I'm gonna go for a run!" I yelled from my bedroom. I tied the laces of my Nike's and jumped off my bed.

"Okay! Be back in time for dinner!" Mom shouted back. I nodded. Right, because tonight was (f/f).

I grabbed my phone. I had thirteen missed texts, all from Alex, my cheating ex. I rolled my eyes and unlocked my phone. I clicked on the SongFlip app and turned on Shane Dawson's "F*ck up". I giggled at the first lyric, then ran out of the house.

I left one earbud out of my ear in case I ran into someone. I never can be too careful. I'm far too clumsy.

As I ran down the streets of Florida, it occurred to me just how hot it was. Hopefully that meant I would lose a few more pounds.

I stopped by our local gas station for a bottled water. I was going to grab a Dasani when I heard an all-too familiar voice say, "She didn't realize that she was sweating..." I turned around on my heel, bottled water in hand.

"Glitter!" He finished. I smiled wide. "Thanks." Thomas laughed and turned off his phone. In an attempt to impress, I held out my hand for a hand shake, then said, "Screw it." and hugged him.

I could feel his smile as he hugged me back. We pulled away and I said, "So, what brings you to my lucky town?" Thomas shrugged. "I moved. It's less crowded here."

I internally screamed.

"That's cool. Are you going to join the local choir?" Thomas blushed at that, then shook his head. "No. No I don't think I could..."

"Shut up. You can, you will, and here," I paused, giving him the choir card, "I'm the president. We're small, but fun."

"Okay. Well, at least I'll know someone there. So your name is..." he paused, reading the card, "(Y/N)?"

I nodded.

"Creative." Thomas chuckled. I bit my tongue. Just as I knew he would, Roman appeared. "You called?" He said.

"Not now." Thomas muttered. I raised my hands. "No! Stay! Prince Roman, nice to officially meet your acquaintance." Roman bowed. "The pleasure is all mine, Prince/Princess (Y/N)."

He disappeared.

"Well, that was fun." Thomas said, smiling. "Can we talk outside?" I asked.

I paid for my water and then had Thomas follow me outdoors. "I don't want to seem like a stalker or anything, but I would like to have your number." I blushed. "Y-You know, for the Choir thing..." I trailed off.

"Sure." He spilled out his number, and I put it into my phone. When I finished, my phone rang.

Alex.

"Augh." I groaned. "I cannot believe I have to deal with this." I picked up. "Alex, no I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to get back together. I think your an asshole."

Alex wouldn't let go. Apparently the girl who he cheated on me left him. Aw, poor him.

"No." I said firmly. Someone took my phone out of my hands. I opened my mouth in protest, but quickly shut it when I saw Patton.

"Listen, she/he thinks your mean. Don't be an annoying meanie head. Or I'll send Virgil on you." I grinned. Virgil appeared behind Thomas, an intense glare focused on my phone. "I'll kill you if I have to!" He shouted.

"Virgil!" Patton scolded, hanging up the phone and handing it back to me.

"You could have just hung up." Logan said, tilting his head at me from next to Patton. I sighed. "I really wanted to make my point. Thanks Patton. Thanks Virgil. Thanks Logan." They all nodded, except Virgil, who found it suitable to grunt. Then they all disappeared.

"Hey. Would you like to have dinner..." Thomas began asking, a blush creeping up on him.

"I would, but my mom is making my favorite food for dinner tonight. Maybe you can eat with us?" I offered. I nervously twisted my right foot, looking at the ground.

"That sounds wonderful (Y/N)."
