I paused and panted outside of my door. "Thomas..." I panted, "My mom is a little weird, and my little brother will be annoying as hell, so I just want you to be prepared..."

"I'm sure they will be lovely." Thomas assured me. I avoided eye contact, sighed, and muttered, "I wish."

As if on cue, my little brother began screaming, loud enough to be heard outside, saying, "MOM! (Y/N) is home and she/he finally brought a boy!"

I blushed. "Time to face the music." I muttered, grabbing Thomas' hand and bringing him inside.

"Hi mom. Dinner ready?" I asked, hoping she wouldn't ask about Thomas.

"Of course honey. Now, who is this young lad? I've seen him before, I'm sure of it..." my mom trailed off. Thomas smiled.

Don't remember...don't remember...

"Oh my! He's that YouTuber you have been obsessed with lately isn't he!" My mom exclaimed, clapping her hands. I face palmed.

She ignored me and continued over to Thomas. "Well, it is just so nice to meet you in person. Now, where did Jon go?" My mom turned around and looked into the next room, distracted.

"Obsessed huh?" Thomas smirked, looking at me. I winced. "Yeah, hoping you wouldn't have had to know about that..."

"JON! GET OUT OF YOUR SISTERS CLOSET OR I SWEAR..." came my mothers voice from upstairs.

"Shit." I whispered. Oh god, what will Thomas think...

My brother came stumbling in, wearing my makeup and a dress that fit him rather nicely. Better than me, the jerk.

"Well, time for an official introduction. I'm Jon, (Y/N) little brother. I'm a cross dresser." Jon waited, like he always did, for the words to come out of Thomas' mouth. They never came.

"That's really cool! I met a fan just like you once!" Thomas said excitedly. I smiled. Thomas was the first to ever say something nice about my brother.

The word angel came to my mind.

We sat down for dinner a while later, making small talk. Thomas discussed his friends and his career, and as any normal family would, my mom and brother humiliated me.

"Did you know that when she/he was little, she/he went through a far too early teenager stage? She/he wore all black and spent most of her/his time in her/his room, reading books. It was unsettling." My mom said, looking up from her meal.

"Mom!" I groaned. Thomas laughed and Jon smirked. "Yeah, I remember she/he once used to go through my clothes. How about that?"

"THAT'S IT!" I exclaimed, standing up from the dinner table, chasing Jon around the house.

"GOT YOU!" I shouted. I pinned him on the couch, then yelled, "Thomas! I need assistance!"

"Coming, my fair lady/sir!" He responded. He pinned Jon on the couch for me and I tickled him mercilessly. In between breaths, Jon said, "Please...stop...I'm done...I promise...AH...Stop!" He giggled.

I stopped. I was giggling myself, and the minute Thomas let go, we got into a tickle fight, that soon escalated into a pillow fight. Laughter and teasing was shouted across the room, and finally we collapsed in a heap of happiness on the floor.

Jon stood up. "I'm going to help clean up." He said. I nodded and he left.

"That was fun." I said, my smile still plastered on my face like permanent marker. Thomas nodded.

"Yeah! I found that really fun! I don't think we've had a pillow fight in forever! Logic?"

I turned around. Patton was on the couch, head on Logans shoulder. Logan spaced, thinking, then replied, "Yes. A very long time."

"Personally, I was afraid the whole thing was too flirty." Vigil said from by the TV. "I thought you might accidentally-"

"Kiss her/him." Roman finished, hand in hand with Virgil. "I mean, it does seem like a cute setting. Minus the little brother of course."

"Roman!" Patton scolded from across the room.

"You know I'm right! If her little brother wasn't in the room he might have kissed him/her!"

"This isn't a fairy tale!"

Thomas groaned. I laughed. I had to interrupt.

"No! It's a fanfiction!" I proclaimed. Virgil looked at me funny. "It does have that plot doesn't it?" He whispered.

Then they were gone.

"Are they around a lot like that?" I asked, turning to look at him. Thomas just stared at the ceiling. "All the time. Now you know what I have to deal with."

I laughed. "I think they are wonderful."

Time passed. Far too quickly, in my opinion. I didn't want Thomas to leave. It seemed my family didn't want him too either.

"C'mon, it won't be anything weird! We can make pancakes in the morning!" My mother suggested. Thomas shifted on his feet, then opened his mouth to say something. I interrupted him and said, "Thomas, you live close by. Tomorrow morning are try-outs for the choir, and you said it would be nice to know someone there. It would be even nicer to have an escort, no?" I persuaded.

Thomas shut his mouth. He opened it again, and this time said, "Yeah. Staying sounds wonderful."

So that explains why there is a famous person on my couch. Downstairs. So close. So far.

Needless to say, I couldn't sleep. I was terrified it was only a dream.

A storm passed by. My eyelids started to drift down, until I heard a squeaking noise and padded feet coming upstairs. I rolled over to see Patton a few inches from my face.

"Scared of the storm?" I whispered. He nodded. A bolt of lightning flashed, and he winced.

"You can sleep with me." Patton hugged me, then set up "camp" at the foot of my bed.

I was beginning to fall asleep when Logan walked in. He saw Patton, sighed, then lay next to him. Patton scooted closer and Logan put his arm around him. I smiled.

Virgil came in next, looking absolutely horrified. "It's stupid, but can I..." I nodded. Virgil slept by the door to my closet, just beside me.

Roman followed, cuddling with Virgil and whispering curses at the storm whenever Virgil winced.

Thomas came in last.

"They left me." He whispered. I smiled. "I know." I said, sitting up in bed. "C'mon, you can lay down next to me. I promise no kinky stuff."

Thomas smiled a little. He walked over, but I spread myself across the entire bed, then said, "You have to promise too."

Thomas gulped. Patton giggled from the foot of the bed. Thomas glared, and Patton fell back asleep.

"I...I promise. I'm to tired for it anyway." I gave a small chuckle. "Okay, superstar, then let's get some rest for tomorrow morning."

Thomas nodded and lay beside me. My heart beat a mile a minute. Thomas rolled over to face me, gave an adorable smile, then closed his eyes.

My face flamed. Once I was sure Thomas was asleep, the flame flickered into nothing and I fell asleep too.
