Nice

"That was cute." Diane said as soon as Elizabeth came out of the locker room. Elizabeth looked at her with a surprised look, "What was?"

Diane laughed while Merlin chuckled, "I can't say that wasn't an adorable scene." 

Elizabeth remembered what happened just a little while ago, "That? Really guys? I was just pushed." 

"and he still caught you." Diane wiggled her eye brows, making Merlin laugh. Elizabeth looked at Merlin, "Hey! who's side are you on?" 

Merlin continued to laugh, "I'm on no one's side, this is quite amusing." 

Elizabeth gave Merlin a look, then sighed. "I still dislike him, that's it." Merlin and Diane looked at each other with strange looks. "You didn't have to remind us." 

"I felt like I had to." Elizabeth replied, walking faster than the other two girls. Elizabeth blushed lightly as she started to talk to herself. 

"He caught me, that's it. So what? It doesn't mean anything." Elizabeth rolled her eyes, sighing. She looked back, looking for her friends, but she saw Meliodas walking behind her, a few students away.

As she looked for Merlin and Diane, she ended up having eye contact with Meliodas. She looked away first when they did. After that trust fall event in the gym, the two of them were still pretty uncomfortable. 

Since the two of them didn't think that they'd catch each other.

Elizabeth didn't find the two girls, so she proceeded to the classroom. She sat on her chair and sat there quietly, she didn't look at anything but Miss Jade in front and at her desk.

She heard Meliodas sit down, and for some reason, she felt uneasy. Much more than usual when he sat next to her.

Meliodas on the other hand felt as uneasy as Elizabeth did. Ban could notice how frozen his movements were. Meliodas didn't know why he was being like this, the only thing he could blame was that stupid trust fall.

The boy didn't expect to feel nice in Elizabeth's arms. He expected the cold hard floor, but instead, he got firm hands holding him. 

Meliodas shook his head once he realized that he was thinking of what happened in the gym. A few students noticed him shake his head, they looked at him and he just rose his brow at them and they continued to go on with their business. 

"That was some vigorous head shaking, are you okay Meliodas?" Someone asked behind him, Meliodas looked back to see a lanky boy with glasses, it was Escanor. 

Meliodas gave him a smile, "Nah, i'm alright." Meliodas turned around and stared at his table, his neck heating up at the realization that he shook his head in an embarrassing way. 

"Alright everyone!" Miss Jade's voice interrupted his thoughts. He put his head up and went eye to eye with Miss Jade, who gave him a raised brow. 

Meliodas looked away and Miss Jade started talking again, "We have an hour left. I didn't think the trust falls would last that quick, so i'm going to start the discussion." Miss Jade turned around and stated writing on the board. 

Everyone payed attention, they were disciplined and were taking down notes. Meliodas checked his bag and realized that he forgot to put his notebooks in his bag. 

Meliodas literally face palmed at his forgetfulness, he was the kid on the top of the charts, and on the second day, he forgot his notebooks. 

Elizabeth noticed him face palming, she didn't know why he did it but she didn't mind. She continued to pay attention to the person in front. 

But then, she felt Meliodas move and turn around. Elizabeth looked at him as he tried to act cool asking for paper to the other person next to him. But everyone was busy to give him paper. 

Meliodas sat in silence and Elizabeth stared at him. It took a while until Elizabeth realized that Meliodas had no notebook on his desk, only a pen.

Elizabeth just looked away and continued to pay attention to Miss Jade, but a feeling in her chest kept her from concentrating. She caught herself glancing at Meliodas, who was looking very worried. 

Meliodas cared for his grades and wanted to make his own notes, knowing that if he borrowed Ban's or King's, he wouldn't understand their style of writing their notes. 

Elizabeth sighed silently and ripped a page from her notebook and shoved it to Meliodas' face. Meliodas stared at the paper for a while, making Elizabeth look at him. "You gonna take it or not?"

Meliodas' thoughts were frozen until she spoke. Meliodas took the paper and started writing, Elizabeth rose her brow. "Yeah, you're welcome." 

Elizabeth rolled her eyes, facing in front again. "Trying to be nice." She muttered to herself as she jotted down. 

Meliodas heard this, of course. He didn't really know what to say. Sure, A Thank You would suffice. But he didn't expect her of all people to give him help. 

Meliodas didn't speak though, he just continued to write on the paper that Elizabeth gave him.

Why is she being nice?

Was the question in Meliodas' mind.  Just yesterday, they were talking back to each other. Now, Elizabeth gives him paper and they did the trust fall. 

As the bell rang, indicating that it was lunch time, everyone started to fix their things. Meliodas put the paper in his bag and faced Elizabeth. 

Elizabeth was putting her notebook in her bag and noticed that Meliodas was facing her. She rose her brow as she looked at him. "What?" 

"Why are you being nice?" Meliodas asked, his question took Elizabeth off guard. "Excuse me?" 

"You heard me, you're being nice. Despite the fact that we both hate each other." 

Elizabeth continued to rise her brow, "Well, why are you talking to me? Despite the fact that we hate each other." 

Meliodas rolled his eyes, "I was curious, genius." 

"Yeah? Well, I was trying to be a good human being." Elizabeth stood up, still looking at him. "Try it, why don't you?" 

She started walking away towards Diane, Meliodas watched them as they left. He stood up, "I was gonna thank you but I guess we both have problems." 

Meliodas walked towards Ban and King. They noticed the aura that surrounded Meliodas, "You seem pissed, what happened?" King asked, Meliodas just sighed. 

Ban cracked a smile, "Is it Elizabeth?" 

The two boys looked at him, "Hey! It's just a random guess. Unless i'm right?~" Ban looked at Meliodas, who looked away. 

"Yup, you're right." King chuckled, making Meliodas look at King with a look. King rolled his eyes, "Face it. We know when you're pissed at someone, and judging from the fact that you're sat with Elizabeth, it's obvious." 

Meliodas had nothing to say to King, since he was right. "Let's just go eat." Meliodas mumbled before storming out.
