Apology

Merlin and Arthur went to a park nearby the school, it was secluded since the areas near the school was private. 

"What did you want to talk about?" Merlin asked as they were sitting on the swings that were oddly for their height.

"About what happened," Arthur mumbled,but Merlin heard. "Oh," was all she could say.

The two were silent after a few minutes until Merlin broke it. "If you aren't ready to talk about it yet, then--", "no!" 

Merlin was caught off guard and stared at Arthur, "I mean, no. I'm ready to talk about it, I just don't know what to say first. I honestly just went out there and asked for you to come with me and did not think this through." Arthur chuckled. 

Merlin sighed, "That's completely you." 

Arthur made a small smile and sighed, he started to speak. "I'm sorry." 

"I'm sorry for making you choose sides, or even giving you the idea of choosing sides. I didn't want that to happen to you, I just, I put my problems and insecurities ahead when I knew about the thing with Elizabeth and Meliodas. That was a total dick move."

Merlin let him continue, "I'm sorry. I should have just let it be, I should have just trusted Elizabeth and her decisions. I'm sorry I involved you in this, I let this whole thing get all over my head and letting our friendship be at steak."

"I could have possibly lost you because of my selfishness-" Arthur was cut off by Merlin.

"Hold up, hold up. You thought you were gonna lose me?" Merlin rose her brow, "No way in hell that would happen."

"I mean- we haven't been talking and we just-- you get what I mean!" Arthur exclaimed, making Merlin chuckle.

"I just gave you space to think and breathe, Arthur. I wouldn't just let you go and leave and break our friendship like that. I l--" Merlin cleared her throat, as she cur herself off.

"I mean, I accept your apology. I always will and you know that. You have to apologize to Elizabeth and Meliodas though." 

"Reminds me, what makes you think I've had a crush on Elizabeth?" Arthur asked, looking at Merlin.

Merlin could feel the blush on her face as she spoke, "I mean, it was obvious. You worry about her 24/7 and you got so over protective around her. What else could I think?"

Arthur chuckled, "I'm like that around you too though."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Merlin asked, making Arthur laugh.

"Were you perhaps, Jealous?" Arthur gave her a smile, making Merlin blink profusely.

"What?" Merlin asked, confused but also embarrassed.

"Um, no." Merlin lied, making Arthur laugh. "You're good at a lot of things, Merlin. But lying isn't one of them."

"What was I suppose to say? 'Yes! I was jealous but i'm not the type of person to tell you all of that!'?" Merlin ranted, blushing hardly after.

Arthur began to laugh, "C'mon, Merlin. I'm not dumb."

"Yes, you are." Merlin argued, making Arthur roll his eyes.

"You do realize that you just admitted that you were jealous, right?" Arthur reminded, making Merlin face palm.

"Look at who's dumb now." Arthur chuckled. "And besides, I don't have an interest in her. As I always say, she's like my little sister. I have someone in mind anyway."

Merlin looked down at her shoes as she slowly swung the swing.

Arthur chuckled, "It's you, jeez."

Merlin's eyes went wide and looked at Arthur who gave her a wide smile.

Merlin groaned, "You know, I'm real smart. But then when it comes to you, I get so fucking stupid."

Elizabeth sat on her bed, Diane had already left and she already got ready and was just waiting for Meliodas to knock on the door.

Elizabeth didn't know what to tell Meliodas. She just called him out of impulse. What was she thinking?

Knock knock

Well, there's no turning back now.

Elizabeth stood up and took one last look at herself in the mirror before she left.

She opened the door and for some reason, Elizabeth found the boy standing in front of her attractive.

Oh God no.

The boy wasn't in uniform and was wearing decent clothes, black jeans and a white shirt.

Elizabeth closed the door and met with his emerald eyes and smiled, "hey."

Meliodas nodded at her with a smile. "Where to?" Elizabeth asked, Meliodas put his phone in his pocket.

"Do you like Cafes?" Meliodas asked and she nodded, "great."

They ended up going to a cat themed shop called Meow Meow.

"Cute." Elizabeth commented on the interior design of the place. They ordered their food for lunch and waited.

As soon as they got their food, they began to talk.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Meliodas asked.

Ah, no. She was not ready to talk about this. Why did she ever think she was ready to do so?

She just literally had a "Fuck it." moment and just went with it.

"So, let me just put this out there, I was not ready to talk about this and just said what I said out of impulse." Elizabeth started, making Meliodas nod.

"Remember when you told me that I should contact you when I have something to talk about?" Elizabeth asked, "Yeah, what is it?"

"You should know everything that happened to me after you bullied me, before you hear it from someone else."

Meliodas didn't think much of the effects of what he's done, but the next thing Elizabeth said made him think otherwise.

"Meliodas, you broke me."
