The two whipped their heads towards the voice, and they saw Miss Jade's head popping out of the door, slightly opened.
"I guess the tension disappeared, care to join the class?" She asked, opening the door completely. The two entered to find everyone taking down notes, they took their seats and started to take notes like everyone else.
Elizabeth was already writing and she immediately noticed Meliodas just sitting there with no paper. She ripped one page from her notebook and gave it to Meliodas, "thanks." he mumbled, making Elizabeth smile.
After a little while, the bell rang and everyone was done taking down notes. The next period was a free period, so Elizabeth took this chance to go to the bathroom.
Inside the cubicle, Elizabeth heard footsteps from the outside. Elizabeth figured that those were other students that also had a free period, she was about to open the door.
"Remember Elizabeth?" Elizabeth froze once she heard her name, her hand inches away from the lock.
"Liones? Yeah." Another voice replied, chuckling. "Remember when Meliodas bullied her years ago?" the first girl asked, Elizabeth noticed that there were only two girls.
"Yeah, she was such a loner. He hated her with a passion and all his pranks were hilarious." The other one laughed, making the first girl snort. "Then she was home schooled."
"Yeah, and now she looks like she's the top girl because she bloomed." The two laughed, "She's just looks after being home schooled."
"Yeah, and what's with her covered eye? Doesn't she bother to fix or cut her hair?", "Yeah, she actually looks stupid." With that, the two laughed.
They were disturbed by a loud slam of the cubicle door, the two girls jumped as they looked back to see Elizabeth staring at the two of them.
Elizabeth quietly walked towards the sink and washed her hands, the two watched her as she even wiped her hands with tissue.
"What are the two of you looking at?" Elizabeth rose her brow at the two girls just looked dumbfounded. Elizabeth went closer towards them and waved her hand in front of their faces. Elizabeth eventually gave up and crossed her arms.
"All bark and no bite? C'mon girls, I'm right here." Elizabeth rose her brow, making the two girls look at each other.
"Take a good look ladies, I'm not the same girl as years ago. Please take note that I can actually talk back now, so kindly back off." Elizabeth started to walk away, but not before stopping next to one of them.
"I'm not the one who looks stupid with bangs, honey." With that, Elizabeth walked out and went straight to her classroom. While she was on her way to her seat, she noticed that Meliodas wasn't there. She shrugged it off and sat down, it wasn't like she actually cared about Meliodas.

Meliodas on the other hand, wasn't inside the classroom. He also used the bathroom.
The bathrooms for both genders were next to each other. There were a few pillars for decoration, where Meliodas stood and over heard everything.
Meliodas was out of the bathroom when he suddenly heard Elizabeth's name, and it came out of someone else's mouth, not Elizabeth nor her friends.
He didn't know why, but he stopped in his tracks and started to listen to whatever they were saying. When he was mentioned, he felt uneasy for some odd reason. Meliodas didn't do anything when they started talking about Elizabeth, he just stayed quiet and listened.
But when Elizabeth opened the door, even Meliodas was startled. He heard Elizabeth's voice and the way she talked back towards them. Elizabeth proved to those two girls and Meliodas that anyone who tries to bully her will a get piece of her mind and she's not afraid to say it.
Meliodas unconsciously smiled when he heard her responses and when she finished. Meliodas hid behind one of the pillars when he heard footsteps only to see that it was Elizabeth. He still hid, though.
When Elizabeth was out of sight, Meliodas came out behind the pillar and saw the two girls leave the bathroom, silent. "Well, Hello girls." Meliodas smiled, the two looked at him and gave him an awkward smile.
"What's wrong? It's like you guys never heard a person talk back to you." Meliodas smirked, making the two girls' jaws drop. Meliodas wasn't afraid to talk back either, since they know that even if they tried to make rumors against Meliodas, it would die down with a flick of a finger.
He left with his proud smirk, he was impressed on how Elizabeth held the situation. She really has changed, Meliodas thought. Once again realizing his mistakes when he was a kid.
When he entered the classroom, the first person he saw was Elizabeth. At first, it was like it was nothing, it was just Elizabeth. But when Elizabeth turned around, while she was laughing and talking to the other students, Meliodas couldn't help but stare.
